    I didn't know he had any Irish roots. From how everyone got worked up about it, I assumed he just wanted to represent Ireland as he had a fan base more than he had an English one, so fair play, I was wrong :lol:

    im not arsed to be honest but macklin is irish by 2 irish parents just happens to live in birmingham most of his life which qualifys him to fight for the british belt....

    its just like frankie gavin fighting for irish belt aswell

    who gives a **** what side of the pond there from... get behind them no matter what!

    He's had more trainers and promoters than nationalities though.

    He's a fan of the Blues isn't he, maybe he'll be following McLeish over to the Villa next.
