Since Hopkins and Dawson are busy with each other, maybe we'll see Pascal/Cloud, and maybe Cloud will surprise me. If Pascal and Cloud fight, and Pascal wins, it won't be the kind of thing that makes me come on ESB and give people a bunch of crap for being wrong.
Not sure on this one, but I know itll be a great matchup. Hes faster, just as explosive, and because of his awkward, trigger happy style I can see Paacal at least flooring Cloud somewhere along the way win or lose. Cloud might have a better second wind and win the final rounds. Better finisher than Pascal too. I really hope this one happens alot of tnt in this one. Pascal fought the better comp, but I like Clouds more conservative no bs style. This one will show what hes made of.
I like Pascal in a fight that, while fun, isn't quite as competitive as people think it would be. He has been in against supreme competition -- Hopkins, Froch, Dawson -- and hits guys squarely when given openings. Cloud's problem is movement, and Pascal can give him enough to upset his rhythm and then land meaningful shots Cloud doesn't see (he's tunnel-visioned). I like Cloud a lot as a person and think he's a good fighter, but this is a huge step up for him.
cloud by wide ud. pascal doesn't perform well against good offensive orientated fighters. hopkins and froch exposed that. if pascal can crumble to the pressure of a 42 year old defensive fighter coming forward just imagine what a beast like cloud would do.
IDK Bama, after Cloud got his career best win over Johnson I think Cloud won that one by a hair, but it could of gone either way. I think for the first 4 rounds Pascal is what Judah used to be considered king of the 4 rounds, but of 175. It didnt matter if it was Bhops, Froch, Dawson, or anyone I can see Pascal giving Cloud a whuppin like hes never had the first half. But thanks to Pascals low ring IQ, I think Cloud will take over the 2nd half and win it barely. Ill be going for Cloud, but Ill give him the benefit of the doubt cuz I really dont think Clouds ever faced a Hopkins, Froch, or Dawson. Like him or hate him, Pascals been thru hell and back. I dont think Clouds been tested like Pascal.
He took some solid right hand in the 2nd and 3th round against Johnson, I have no doubts, Cloud's chin is made of granite.
I don't thin the Cloud-Johnson fight was close at all, I remember Cloud winning it clearly by at least 3 rounds. I would say Cloud beat a fresher Glen better than Froch did, while staying toe to toe. He tracked down Mack who was moving more than he was against Johnson and put his lights out. He took out Woods, who I would say at the time was just as good a Diacanou. Cloud's defense is getting better every high level fight I see him in. He has power and stamina. The only knock is activity at times. Pascal never impressed me since I saw him scrape by a win against a scrub on ESPN Friday Night Fights. He fights in erractic spurts, is defensively lax, like you said has no ring IQ, was getting buzzed heavily by ****ing B-Hop and by Dawson, and in general gasses in every fight down the stretch. Pascal doesn't have a chance to KO Cloud, the only way is if he outpoints him, the sad part is Mack is a better boxer and ring general than Pascal so I doubt Pascal has the tempermant, discipline, and ability to execute the gameplan Mack and Co had drawn up. I see the fight between the two being Cloud cutting off the ring and attacking Pascal's body, while Pascal dances outside, tries to rush in throwing flurries most of which are blocked, and getting caught when he elects to exchange because Cloud has shorter more compact punches.
Pls give me a break with your Pascal has zero ring IQ when no one in the world gave him a chance against Dawson. Pascal was also an underdog against Diaconnu and he did better than Dawson. Also Pascal gave trouble to Hopkins for many rounds, wait did you see my last sentence? In almost 60 pro fights, there's only a few kind who gave some troubles to the legend. So maybe he has zero IQ but it's still better than you.
Watching Pascal fight,i feel he has potential in him . I think he has what it takes to be a great light heavyweight and overrall fighter . Hes still needs to improve on certain things though. ...When it comes to Cloud,he has yet to impress me . So for right now Pascal whoops that ass Thats gon be my answer .
