Spike O'Sullivan with another R1 KO

Thought he was caught off guard with the quickness of Long early on not much else to pick up on though in terms of weakness. Looks a solid fighter but I liked the left hook to head and body.

from what I hear Coyle is, how should I put it, hmmmm, "extremely selective" with regards what opponents his faces.

Cant see him wanting to go anywhere near Spike.

 

He has been selective and I can understand why, after the last few steps he took up in competition didnt go well for him. His team will be wary when matching him up in future But you never know, Henry might look for another chance to win the Irish title. And Spike doesnt have good skills to go with his power, he seems a fairly basic boxer. Henry has better, more polished skills I think. Their styles would mesh really well as both like to put presssure on I think.

 

hes abit flat footed and open but seems t have very good power so i think he might reach euro level
defo needs to improve a few things

 

was talking to alan donnlehan and he told me spike is very good technically and really helps him in sparring
ive a feeling spike just didnt respect longs power etc so just went after the ko

 

Some worrying things there though with the falling in with his chin in the air!

 

Thought Spike looked terrible there, just walking forward, lunging almost falling in with shots. He showed Long absolutely no respect but he wont get away with that if he tries to step it up.

 

He seems to have decent power. Needs to work on the defence though, no head movement whatsoever.
