Just read in the Herald-Sun that they are possibly planning on making a telemovie on the life and times of Jeff Fenech since it is 20 years since the draw with Azumah Nelson. The quote from Fenech is that he is wanting to "spill the beans" on his former trainer Johnny Lewis. What he could have meant by that beats the hell out of me. Anyone got a clue?
Probably to do with stuff that has been well covered, Johny talked alot about Fenech in his book, questioned his integrity and commitment. Stated that Fenech would be out partyin and training b4 crucial fights (some lost) Fenech soon after came out and said some things about Johny, and drew light to the money he had made Lewis etc http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...ner-johnny-lewis/story-e6freygr-1225926011177 I am probably biased so my oppinion may not be valid, I supported Fenech the fighter,, however I think Fenech is a mug, low life, and most of what he says I feel is ****!
Johnny and jeff have been on and off many times over the years they were back on for a while then fenech and mitrevski had a problem, Johnny remained neutral and jeff didn;t like this so now they are off. johnny had a few things to say about jeff in his book that jeff didn;t like and Jeff has suggested a few times he would tell some behind the scene stories of what happened on tour when the 2 of them were together. Some i have heard not good but who knows whats true
The Jeff Fenech story would be huge...as anyone from that era would atest...they were great days for Aussie boxing...but if Fenech wanted to 'spill the beans' on Lewis..so to speak...I'm sure he'd come off second best and cruel the whole enterprise...Fenech has done enough dodgey **** over the years for people to form a somewhat negative opinion of him already...if he carried on like a cat people would turn on him...it's not like Lewis said anything overly bad against him...if he joined forces with Lewis on this and put the pettiness aside...they could turn this into a truly inspirational story...and it was...
Seems most people on here and alot you talk to have a low opinion of J Fenech as a person. I tend to share that opinion from stories I've heard of him and things I have seen in person. Coming out and bagging Johnny Lewis would be considered another low act by Fenech. Not saying Lewis is a saint and hasn't done wrong but I just can't see the point of coming out and trashing Johnny. What's the point? Where does it get you?
you guys only know the half of it, no point in me dropping stories since most people already have the correct opnion of Mr Fenech. It doesnt take one long to work out why, meet him, speak to him and have a few drinks with him, the guy is a pig.
Jeff Fenech only knows how to love or hate. Fenech worshiped Johnny Lewis like a father for many years and now seems to have turned on him.
People who spend most of their time glorifying themselves, satisfying their ego, have a very shallow value pool.
