i didn't claim it wasn't from a dive i said its possible that once it came time to actually fight he had mental melt down.you have to admit as far as dives go it was certainly unconvincing.if you were giving odds it would
80-20 dive being 80% mental meltdown 20%.The fine he received was for not disclosing a medical condition.regardless of whether he dived or not why should
he be prevented from doing a job if someone wants to employ him??

I don't see any problem with Briggs having involvement with boxing, except for fighting (obviously).
Briggs has a lot to offer the sport.

Sure, he made a monumental **** up with the Green fight, but I also think there were a lot more people involved in it than just Briggs.
Perhaps even Green, who knows.

I don't think that he should be kept away from everything boxing though.
I'd hazard a guess that he wouldn't be the only trainer that has made a considerable **** up in his time.

 

correct me if i am wrong, but i was under the impression that he received a fine for "being involved in a sham contest"....they were the words i remember reading, not failing to disclose medical info (unless by failing to disclose it led to a charge of sham contest?)

Problem is that he is only banned in WA from getting a licence, other states can allow him to become a registerd trainer or even fighter if he likes. I would assume because he did nothing wrong in NSW then he will be granted a NSW trainers licence.

no because boxing is not the same as footy, cricket tennis etc. No one has the right to say a fighter took a dive, or is a bum unless they know whats its like to be in the ring. Anyway can play footy, cricket and tennis, does everyone have what it takes to step in the ring
