if Taylor was to fight Chavez Jr . Even right now Taylor would whup him . Theres nothing special about Chavez . He doesnt take after his father unfortunately .
Most accurate post related to Jermaine Taylor I've seen. He fights in straight lines, for someone with his athleticism its a shame.
JT is weird in that he's got blazing hand speed but heavy feet. Most guys with fast hands also have nimble/light feet and are overall good athletes. But not JT. I think he was just cursed with a set of heavy feet. Plus, it doesn't help that he's not the most intellectual guy out there. I mean i don't know if they REALLY work on his footwork or not or if that's just a small part of their routine but it's such a glaring weakness. If he can just improve his footwork somewhat, he would be such a better fighter.
Taylor is probably finished but if he can get a shot a JCC Jr he could get an easy belt and a big payday. MW is quite shallow.
Not with bums like Chavez Jr. holding belts. Honestly even with all Taylor's flaws, if Taylor is focused, and Burns can really get that cardio thing of Taylor's taken care of, Taylor easily becomes a top 160 pounder.
If he can come back to his old MW form, it's entirely possible. :thumbsup Looking over the landscape, Martinez is the only one to avoid at all costs. Vintage JT can in theory hang with just about all the rest.
 He made it into the 12th round three times against big punchers above his optimal/career weight. At middleweight, his only loss was the 7th round TKO against Pavlik (by way of a barrage in the corner, while standing - not any one single shot) which had as much to do with his poor stamina than an "abysmal" chin.
uh no he got crumpled up like a pretzel against Pavlik. He was coddled in the beginning of his career by his management and HBO you don't remember him fighting all those light punching 154 pounders who came up to Middleweight? There is a reason that was going on it is because he has no Chin. None.
I cant wait to see Taylor back at it! this guys a true gentlemen inside and outside of the ring I wish him the best of luck.
