He spent 6 minutes on his Press Conference speech...

For 3 minutes, he spoke, and he spoke, and he spoke...

Then he ended it... But there was ONE last thing he needed to get off his chest....

And for the next 3 minutes, all he did was speak about the handshake!!!

Clearly Haye has gotten to him - And surely everyone other than the Over-Zealous Pizza Face fans would agree with me!

fights are won in the gym and through natural talent, not at the press conference

  3. It's weird and uncomfortable watching him go on about it. I do like Wlad though.

I've never known a man to love shaking hands so much.

In truth it's part of his passive-aggressive approach to mind-games, and it normally works.

    I agree,

But I'm just saying that Haye has mentally gotten to him.

So that means if Haye knocks out Wlad he didn't knock out a 100% prime and ready version of Wlad but a weak, mentally derailed one?

It is a bit cringe when he does the "Don't you want to shake the magic hand, David?" thing. But I found it pretty funny, in a weird way, when he listed all the people that have shaken his hand. The number 50 on his hand was pretty good, though. It would be even better if he gets that knockout number 50. War Wlad!

I think when wlad first did the hand shake thing everyone was like wow Haye is a ***** he won't shake wlad's hand, how unsportsman like. So he has thought ahhh that got me good press and it must annoy Haye so he kept doing it, now he has over done it so he actually looks like a bit of a dick!

This now looks like Haye has got to wlad but I don't think it has affected wlad, I just think wlad thinks that doing it would make Haye look silly... It did a little at first but now wlad looks silly. All verbal sparring.

In a sense it is humour (not funny though) but it started out because Haye wouldn't shake his hand and Haye got bad press for this. Wlad has now over done it and it isn't as funny as he thinks it is.

A handshake has a certain social connotation, and generally it's a power play, where one guy wants to grip the other harder.

Wlad has enormous hands. He'd win in a grip contest. Haye knows this, so he does not want to give Wlad that confidence boost. Wlad also knows this and wants to show his size/strength to get into Haye's mind. It annoys him that Haye won't let him.
