Sending Chuck Liddell to Pride in 2004 was more of a ballsy more from that perspective than anything Coker's done. Don't kid yourself - if Strikeforce had been as big as the UFC is today they'd have turned aganist co-promotion themselves.
Ya bloodstain gets carried away sometimes, but his fight analysis is pretty good and we share a deep admiration for a certain fighter or two,
I grew up in the King/Arum monopoly of boxing, Im under no illusions that any MMA promoter is any different, granted maybe not as bad as King in terms of ethics but hopefully you get my point This sums it up for me [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKDaAdL2VLY[/ame]
You'll find much better analysis from posters on this board. No doubt he loves the sport but his insight is barely above greathamza level He's the MMA equivilant of this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc[/ame]
They are all scumbags. Bloodstain is the Vince Vaughn of the fight world and Ariel just seems like a poorly skilled reporter that jumped on the bandwagon a few years back. Lynchburg
Sending Chuck over was balsy, but I don't think he gained much cred predicting Chuck would win, betting on it and the reneging on the bet. There is no precedent for what the UFC has become today but Pride still let there fighters go over to K1 for example before they went out. I am quite taken aback at how the UFC forces contracts on their fighters.
:nono I respect the expertise of both bloodstain and hamza. Would we even know what "reach knowledge is if it was not for him?
Or that Fedor has never been stopped...or that Anderson Silva isnt a heavyweight when we were actually talking about Antonio Silva...or that getting ko'd once means GSP has a glass jaw...or that Fujita's corner throwing in the towel after 2 seconds is a great win for Mark Coleman...
You got to respect the man even though I take the ****. Greathamza has blurred the fine line between bravery and stupidy
Coker sold his company out and he's a yes man, not insulting the guy or anything but I'm not gonna pick that guy over Dana who's UFC's personal spokesperson. He essentially speaks for the UFC. I don't know or care about Bloodstain Lane, haven't watched one of his videos, never will. And Ariel Helwani is a great interviewer, I respect him a lot. And I guess that last guy is an M1 Global guy or something. Just looks like he wants to ride the Fedor hypetrain, but that's just what I'm getting from the picture. Coker's not a promoter, he's a businessman. I'm sure he was in talks to sell the company to Heyman or something, or at least do something with him.
