...takes Martinez at 154, and then beats him? Granted, Martinez doesn't have that big "0" that PBF loves flashing, and his resume at MW isn't as good as Floyd's as LW, but still it seems to me Pac will have earned his ATG if he goes this route.

    Why am I wrong?

    Pac already is an ATG.

Adding anyone else only enhances his legacy.

Um yeah, I should be more clear. I'm premising this question on the notion that he's not there yet. If you already think he's there, then naturally this is all moot.

No doubt, he's an atg...but there's unfinished business.

Oh, so this is just a thread for haters, then? Why didn't you just say so?

    Nice correction. :good

If he WAS NOT YET THERE, then defeating Martinez would supercede a win over Floyd simply on size alone.

You don't have to be a hater to look at a question for it's worth and to just give an opinion.

Maybe because I personally am not sure that he's there yet, and I'm by no means a "hater." OK, maybe it's just because I'm just a casual fan, but my personal standard for ATG is Hagler. The man took all comers even if they weren't big names, and it didn't matter whether the people he fought were big names that promoters would love. Elite fighters today don't seem to fit that bill anymore, so I can't say with confidence that we have an ATG yet.

But anyways that's just my opinion, and certainly not the question I asked.

Pac's status as an ATG is already locked and sealed.

I believe he has bcause he has fought and beat convincinly all the best fighters in the division, he needs to fight Mayweather but i believe he is a all time great already. Its the way he has beat up the last 6 really it speaks a thousand words.

If you are unsure, and as an admitted casual fan. that's fine. But you really should do some resaearch on him if you want to form a valid opinion.

BTW, Hagler wasn't a big name for the most of his career. Guys like that take different routes to stardom. SOme are promoted right off the back like SRL, DLH, Cotto, Mayweather....while others work their way to the top like Hagler, Pac, Barerra, Morales. Meaning their fights are what created them, not the promoters.

    already an ATG.

    Sergio is 160..

the 155 division while its stacked..is very weak compared to the talent of Manny Pacquiao.
