Floyd: Im not going to be moving vs ortiz

i think floyd knows that if he walks down ortiz like he did marquez and mosley he will break him down mentally

and people underestimate Floyd's size and strenght...he can walk Ortiz down easy...

 

At this point, Floyd is a full blown welter. They'll be around the same size on fight night. Floyd feels his defense and quick hands can out gun Ortiz.

 

u guys need to rewatch the marquez and mosley fights. he walked em down at times but not that much.

 

Yup, Ortiz will not know what punches to throw because none of them will land.

 

I don't personally believe his legs are gone but can't say they aren't for sure. As most of the posters above said he may be trying to break Ortiz mentally. Could also be trying to get into Team Pac's head by making them believe he has no legs like Roach stated... Who knows.

Floyd is as smart as they come in the ring. He knows his stamina isn't as great as it once was which is why you've seen a decline in his punch output over the years. Moving around the ring the way he used to expends a lot of energy, he's making adjustments as he is physically declining. It's being smart and he can stand in the centre of the ring and outbox Ortiz just as well as he could by circling him and potshotting his way to a win.

He's a master tactician. Cut from the same cloth as Hopkins.

Floyd never moves against southpaws. He fights the same fights tactically , as he would with Pacquiao.
