The only problem is Wlad is another tall, stiff upright European like Gurov and Maccarinelli himself ;)

Even Flinty is worried about backing another one of those.

I get that feeling too. At the time I was gutted when Haye beat Enzo. In retrospect I think it was the best thing for boxing. If Enzo had scored a lucky KO he would've got blasted out within a few fights. Haye is a different proposition entirely.

I got mixed feelings about the fight.

I see Haye out there in Germany - with them two robot brothers cornering him - and part of me wants to see Haye smash the Klitschko reign of dominance.

On the other hand - if Wlad teachs Haye a painful lesson - there will be some moral goodness in what Wlad dishes out too.

I'm going to be a glory hunter in this fight.

Depending on how the fight goes - I'm just gonna cheer on whoever proves to be the better man.

If Haye upsets Wlad and exposes him as a rigid chinny mafuctured robot - good for Haye - I will cheer him on.

If Wlad dishes out a humliatiion on Haye - that will have its entertainment value too.

If I bet on the fight - it would be on Haye KO or TKO early on - just because he is a live underdog with better odds.

One thing I want to know is what's with this myth that Wladimir Klitschko just handpicks his opponents to make himself look good?

Wlad was prepared to fight Haye before he even had a rank at heavyweight. When Haye had to pull out, he went and fought the next best ranked heavyweight in Ruslan Chagaev and completely pummelled him for 9 rounds.

He was ready to fight Povetkin several times before he also went missing.

Eddie Chambers was coming off impressive wins against Samuel Peter and Alexander Dimitrenko and again Wlad battered him for 12 rounds before brutally leaving him slumped over the bottom rope.

Wlad has fought ranked contender after ranked contender for the last 6 years and beaten them all decisively.

Robotic or not he's a ****ing beast right now and deserves respect.

It is true that Vitali has taken some opponents who might have gone hari-kari for the KO against Wlad, such as Briggs and Arreola. I'm not saying Briggs or Arreola beats Wlad but there you go.

Clearly Arreola was a lot more dangerous than Briggs though, lets be clear about that. Briggs was in no kind of condition to beat anybody.

    Nah.

Just think - if Enzo had KO'd Haye - it could be him fighting Wlad now instead. :yep

It's pretty hilarious but also cringe worthy hearing Haye say he only fights bums. He obviously doesn't believe it himself but the worst thing is, casual fans don't know any better and actually believe Haye. It's like Julio Cesar Chavez saying Martinez only fights useless bums.

Like Barry Mcguigan said on Ringside, when the casual Boxing fan starts talking about a certain fight, you know its a big fight.

I know dude. Just saying it's funny is all. I totally understand why he says that stuff.

Enzo wasn't world class. He didn't have the killer mentality. Likeable fella though.

I wan't to see an explosive fight, but having waited for so long I'd be kind of gutted in it ended in the first or a couple of rounds.

I know things point to a cagey affair, but you never know in boxing...

I'm so tempted to go for a Haye win here. Wlad leans back from punches with his chin in the air. Although he has good feet for his size he goes back in a straight line without giving you a different look. He's still the same fighter, but has learnt to fight smarter and MUCH more comfortable in that ring.

Here's the problem for Wlad. Haye FOLLOWS THROUGH with his punches. This is so crucial because it's the difference between falling short and finding the targer when Wlad leans back. Haye is like a coiled spring with a lot of momentum. This explosiveness and following through with his punches, particularly the right hand straight or cross gives him a VERY good chance in this fight.

Because he follows through and with his physical attributes and relatively fast twitch fibres Haye gets a lot of momentum and velocity on his punches. This is one of the most important differences between Haye and Wlad's previous opponents imo. If you look at Wlad's recent opposition, notice just how many times they fall short and Wlad is able to just defuse and deflect it simply by putting his left arm out there. Because he commits, Haye's punches don't have a stopping point until they reach or go past the target. This of course has it's disadvantages i.e poor balance and therefore being open to counters. But i think it could be an advantage here.

If only Haye had a little more durability i would be more certain of him winning. If he can get Wlad's attention early i think he wins this fight and could even do it on the cards. I also think people are overlooking the impact Wlad's clinching will have on this fight.

Whilst Haye has quick feet I don't think that he has the footwork to get inside Wlads metronomic jab to land big...I hope that I'm wrong but unfortunately I can only see David getting desperate and or sloppy and walking onto a massive right counter. No way is this going the distance.
