    I think it's a bad, bad move.

But there's nothing I can do about it, so I wish him success.

I'm sure people hated his hype, not him. Not Taylor's fault HBO hyped him to be the next big thing. I wish he was a smarter fighter in his career but what's done is done, I wish him well and hope he keeps his health in tact.

After Dawson beats Hopkins, how about Hopkins-Taylor 3?

I say Jermaine beats the PED user a third time.

Yeh, I don't think people genuinely disliked him either, it's kinda hard to dislike him as he carried himself with class, was entertaining, and consistently put on good fights. However, people did probably dislike certain aspects that surrounded him such as his contraversial wins over Hopkins, being over-hyped to the moon by HBO, and having his career retrospect blown out of proportion by people who may have an agenda. That shouldn't take away the fact that he was a good fighter (albeit not a great one) who accomplished a lot.

boo's right. Steward himself doesn't think it was a good fit.

Good fighter + good trainer does not = good match. It's about personalities.

Look at Floyd Sr. and Chad Dawson.

Leaving boxing with two KO loses is really something to think of. What are his intentions in coming back? Not only JT has to change his monicker but he also has to overcome the odds knowing he is already exposed in boxing. Still I wish him to perform differently and well this time.

He's coming back for Martinez and his belts, simple as that, if he didn't believe (and if Burns didn't believe) he could get back to the top they wouldn't be coming back. He is going to be difficult to beat for any of the current MW crop.

STFU *****. I like J Taylor. He just fell short like alot of American fighters fighting at SMW do when travelling to Europe. The list goes on.
Live with it and move on, before I walk you off ESB forever

JT's in a tough spot. He can't compete with the best at 168 or 175, so he's gonna fight easier competition at 160. At 160, his punch resistance won't be as good as it would be at the higher weight. He might get knocked down by a stiff jab at middleweight.

And he's already at fighting weight with almost 8 weeks to go before his proposed fight? Not a good idea to be on weight for two months leading up to a fight. He'll have no energy the night of the fight.

Good luck, JT. I'll be there to watch you fight. Take on a couple of guys moving up from 154, then challenge whoever's got a belt at 160 and can make you the most cash in case it's your last fight.

What taylor should do is fight plenty of bums until he can become the mandatory for JCC Jr ( Another Bum) after he does that, he can look at sturm and if he is able to beat him ( quite possible), than he can look to gout against Martinez BUT he needs to be carefully managed early and kept away from any threats until he can get Jr in the ring.

Jermain Taylor does not need to fight "bums," and how are you going to "carefully match" a guy who doesn't even know how to pronounce "tune-up?" JT just needs to get a few wins over good club fighters under his belt, and then go for it. I would not be one bit surprised to see him start off with someone like Vera or Manfredo.
