How does Haye have to appoach the Klitschko fight, does he start slowly, or fast?

That would be something. Haye out jabbing Wlad. That would undoubtedly top Haye winning a decision over Wlad in Germany.

And yeah, Price is great sparring for this bout IMO...he's also one to watch in the future.

I questioned it before, but then I sat back and thought to myself, you know what, so what if he doesn't do everything right technically, they guy is effective at what he does, and the only time he's paid for that kind of aggression, was against Thompson, and maybe Solis in the amateurs, and im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that score, as it was a long time ago.

You reckon its plausible to think that is something they might be exploring? Cause that is the only thing I think of, that Haye could do, which people wouldn't be anticipating.

I'm not buying the Haye charging in tactics. Don't think he will do that as that's a recipe for a quick KO. I think Haye will TRY box on the back foot. Fast combinations in and out, lots of movement. I think when you have a lot of hype for a fight it rarely lives up to expectation. I think for the first 5-6 rounds this fight will be quite boring. After 6 rounds when Booth realises his tactics aint working and that this robot is a sh!t lot better then we thought he was, then Haye will take a gamble as he will be down 6-0. When Haye starts to gamble he plays right into Wlad's hands and this one is over.

Haye's only chance is catching Wlad in the first round. Wlad knows this too and with the pressure and expectation both men will start off cautious. I laugh at Brits giving Haye a chance. Wlad 4/7 is the bet of the year..Thanks to Haye and his big mouth I will make a fortune..

I tell you Walk the more I see of this buildup the more confident I am on Wlad. Haye to me is just trying to make as much money as he can. He is doing a mega job on selling this fight. I think in his heart, he knows he only has a punchers chance against Wlad.

You look at Hayes last 3 opponents. Audley Harrison the biggest fraud in heavyweight history. John Ruiz who was so far past his sell by date that if he were a yoghurt there would have been trees growing out of him and Valuev has was beaten by a 47 year old Evander Holyfield.

Now he has to fight a former Olympic gold medalist. One of the most naturally gifted athletes of his generation. A gifted technican with superb boxing fundamentals in his own back yard. Even if it loses -175 is a great bet. Haye has a punchers chance. No more no less.

Hayes mouth is getting us this price! Wlad will shut him up permantently on Saturday..Booth will have towel in hand. Wait and see..

He has to come out fast. If you let Wlad get into his comfort zone, its over. Haye has to let wlad know that he means business, and that he's in danger from start to finish.

Haye has to get Wlad to commit and then bang, bang and move. Feints, feints and more feints. He can then slow down, and force wlad to come at him so he can "bomb counter", not just counter. All of Hayes punches have to count.

Yeah, his attacking panics his opponents, even if they are not in serious trouble...his aggressiveness can put them in trouble.

Possibly, although it's literally a tall order. It's not the tactics I've actually ever given any thought because Wlad's jab is so effective. If he pulled it off though, my respect for him and Booth would rise.

What I was brainstorming in a thread yesterday was, knowing that Wlad can be open on the left side if you can navigate past the jab (and the following shots/clinches)...is if Haye would maybe try attacking in the southpaw stance at times to confuse Wlad. Not as in switching stance, then working his way in. But launching a counter attack, which then would put him in a position to put his right foot forward, in turn closing the distance quicker, and unloading shots from that position.

This was just a random theory though after seeing Haye fairly comfortable with his right foot in front.

I guess its one of them things to, its a double edged sword, cause the ref wants you to throw back when your hurt, to show your not significantly hurt, but I did this in a fight years ago that I got hurt in, and threw back cause I knew the ref was looking, even though I wasn't in a situation to throw back, I just wanted to show the ref I was okay, not to stop the fight, and left myself open to another punch that kept me in hurt state.

I might be way off base here, but are you thinking along the lines of something like what Pirog did to Jacobs, sent him back on the line by turning Southpaw, then switched back and nailed him when he was in vulnerable position(back against the ropes)?

Yeah, the Pirog bout and KO is a good example, didn't think about that. I'm not sure Booth and Haye would execute this plan in the same way, but yeah, I was thinking there is a chance Haye could try this...possibly.

If I were fighting someone like Mayweather, I would always advocate the fighter turn Southpaw when he goes into his shell defense, that is the best way land imo. You dont have to fight exclusively as a lefty, just use that when he shells up.

He needs to start fast like Sanders did and not allow Wlad to get into a rhythm with his jab. IMO he must also make this a rough foul filled fight. Hitting behind the head low blows whatever he's not going to win a decision anyway in Germany so who cares if he gets a point taken away. He must not stand on the outside waiting to get hit like most of Wlads's opponents do, he must also go to the body and not head hunt all night.

David Haye's spirit will be broke in the first round when he DOES land on Wladimir Klitschko... and nothing happens.

For the last time... Corrie Sanders did NOT start out fast. Unless you consider backpedaling with your back against the ropes as starting fast. Sanders put his back to the ropes, let an obviously lazy version of Wlad over extend, drop his guard, set traps. Wlad was fighting horribly that night, clearly thinking what everyone else thought... that as soon as he hit Corrie solid the fight was over. Wlad was out there throwing meaningless power punches that weren't set up, and weren't available. Sanders made him pay for his mistakes. He just happened to catch him in the first round. Sanders didn't even come close to jumping on Wlad and getting aggressive until after he had Wlad hurt.

You know I was thinking, you said Haye should feint before he goes in, which I agreed with, but thinking about it, might that slow the pace down too much, negate what he's trying to do with the movement? which is offset Wlad, then attack him whilst he's in transition to catching up with Haye?

I guess you could say, well he'll mix it up between those two things, just thought I'd throw that out though, see what you think.
