1.42-1.52 is friggin' funny man. Anyway, Haye's antics have riled many people-- even his own [former] fans. It's a mixture of him trying to be controversial and just his natural idiocy. Anyone saying "boxing needs this" is clearly high on drugs or delusional. See Pacquiao and Cotto --- to name but two --- to see how true warriors conduct themselves.
The funniest thing is that team hayemaker have pretty much been on a huge trolling mission from day 1 and yes, everyone mad.
I think Wlad has Haye pegged. Haye's trying to pump himself up because he knows he's out of his depth. Most of the most outrageous trash-talking comes when fighters need to pump themselves up. Look at Tyson-Lewis or Briggs-Vitali.
Na mate, boxing DOES need this, just look at what has come out of Hayes hype, when was the last time a heavyweight fight was this popular? you have to go back YEARS. By acting like an arrogant braggart Haye is giving the public what they want. Like it or not. Its the classic good vs bad formula and we are lapping it up. I cant wait even though in my opinion the fight is extremely easy to call.
Journos me laugh. Most fighters come from unprivileged backgrounds, yet people want them to act like choir boys. Fighters are fighters because of the backgrounds they come from, they're product of their environment.
Lillis started the interview calling Haye a basket case but soon did an about turn and started praising Haye.
Half hour before the John Ruiiz fight, David Haye was looking on boxing forums, seeing what the public were saying about him. Really?
Yeah, it gets people talking and buying the fight, but what people really want to see is great competitive fights and great fighters. When they tune in to see Haye go out like a wet piece of **** that's when boxing becomes a farce. All those "casual" fans feel cheated again and wonder how come Haye's walking off with millions of £££.
