Excellent point. Haye's camp is clearly worried about this.

couple of wlad shots will kill that gameplan quick.

The risk there is that if Haye wants to win from the outside, he'll be too broken down already by the time he wants to go for broke. Whatever way I think of this, I really think that bullrushing Wlad is the best option. Haye's stamina is a weakness as well IMO, and maneouvering round a mountain of a man as well as dealing with him in the clinch is extremely energy-sapping. David, please go all Corrie Sanders on his ass!!

What? It's a speed style. It's good, but the lb difference is worrying. People act like he ain't got power at 213.

I can't see Haye attacking. He is a poor aggressor at hw. He looked clumsy attacking shot hws like Barrett and Ruiz. If he's tries that early, he gets taken out early because he will make himself very vulnerable. I'm sure he's going to run and try to pick his spots like most think banking on Wlad making mistakes. He will have to be on the move constantly though because if he lingers in the punch zone at all, he will get taken out with a 1-2. Chambers showed excellent movement early against Wlad but got careless for just a second in the second round and got bulldozed by a huge right hand that nearly put him into another dimension, clearly affecting him the rest of the fight.

Your logic is sound, I just feel as though Team Haye is not going to use this gameplan. I guess we'll find out in around 33 hours or so! :thumbsup

The big shot in the 12th round was a left hook and the hand he broke was his right. As for the Harrison fight, what happened was he knocked him out in the third. He didn't run in 1-2 did he? He should did **** all because to some extent he didn't want it to end in the first 20 seconds as there would have been a riot. That was his own fault for taking a total farce of a fight that was not even competitive.

Breaking your hand is never a lousy excuse, but if you want to take that biased angle then that's your prerogative.

I agree with you mate, I also think Haye will follow that gameplan, I'm just saying I don't think it's the best course of action. David and Adam Booth know more than me though, so I hope I'm wrong and they're right.

On what David will do and how he does it, I see it your way 100%. I just do not see David taking massive risks of getting hit in this fight. If he does, he will pay the price. But, there is that small chance that he will try it and the much smaller chance that it will work.

All in all, I think that David will be driven by the risks of being hit than the overlying risk of losing the fight.

I think he's gonna try the "punch Wladimir in the head" strategy, myself.

People harp on how Wladimir has a disgraceful chin, but Haye has been hurt by cuff shots. Wladimir packs to much power for Haye, we are talking about guy with 88% or something like that KO ratio at heavyweight. Haye has been hurt by CW's that weren't power punchers.

If he can get to Wlad's head before Wlad get's to his then this plan might work.

Perhaps you are right, that is, at the rate of about 15 punches a round.

Well there's no point trying to outbox him, is there? Just gotta get the missile to the target in 12. If Wlad is serious about what he's said, he's got 12 rounds to do it.
