SO if Mike Tyson says Wlad @242lbs is too big for Haye, IS he saying Wlad at 242lbs is also too big for him at 221lbs when he won teh WBC title in late 1986!? :think:think

    Wlad Klit @242lbs

    Not really.

Wlad has been KTFO out by heavyweights similar in stature to Haye, with less speed.

Tyson was deceptively fast hard hitting, hard to hit and a natural fighter who would have tear ups on the inside.

When haye attacks Wlad, watch him stiffen his whole upper body and panic, getting dropped in the process.

Emanuel steward clearly like Haye, his eyes beam when he sees him and has alot of respect for him.

Mike himself had a totally different build as Haye.
Short neck (very important for taking punches)
    Massive upper body (hard hooks)
Strong and thick legs (launching while punching)

Completely different. Like Tua, Tyson was a little powerpack.
Haye might very well be too light for his kinda built to have a decent chance against Wlad.

Weight wouldn't be the issue. Tyson struggled with taller fighters.

The disparity in weight for the Brewster and Sanders fights was 17 lbs for both fights. The disparity in this fight is 30 lbs. Also, Brewster didn't really KO Wlad, it was more a case of Wlad having a panic attack and gassing out. Having said that, I don't think the weight will necessarily be an issue because Holyfield weighed about what Haye weighs for many of his heavyweight fights in his prime and did very well against those bigger guys. For Haye to come in so light indicates to me that he wants to have as much speed as possible so that he can maneuver in and out and laterally. Wlad's jab and ability to cut off the ring will be needed to catch Haye. This could be like swatting a ****in fly.

Tyson knocks Wlad into Bolivion in 3 rounds or less. :deal

Tyson is only 4 or 5lbs lighter than Brewster and Sanders, and he is way way better conditioned than those dudes when at his best with Kevin Rooney.

Also Tyson is lightyears faster and harder to tag than Brewster and Sanders, and Tyson punches with more KO power too.

No. Tyson said after the Lewis fight that he would always struggle with him because of Lewis' height and size. Perhaps he is applying what he knows of a super heavy in Lewis to Wladamir. In all honesty Tyson would be far too much dog for Wlad. Tyson would intimidate Wlad big time.Wlad is a GREAT heavyweight but with Tyson's head movement, hand speed and power, Wlad would fail to the land jab, go back against the ropes, try and hold and simply be overpowered and knocked out violently. It would take a fighter with a great chin as well as skill and a strong mental game to beat Tyson in his prime. Wlad has skill not the other two. Haye has a MASSIVE task ahead of him and will literally have to fight the fight of his life to pull this off, he is simply not Tyson even though he is a solid power puncher.

That's a good point. The neck of Tyson and Tua, and also their huge legs allow them to absorb some massive blows. Leg strength is extremely underrated in being able to take a punch, strong legs equals less wobbly legs. Tyson also had very fast feet and could close distance extremely fast. Haye is not either of these guys. Like I said - a massive almost insurmountable challenge for him. Wlad is a very good fighter at what he does. His only weakness IMO is his lack of confidence in his chin and his lack of fighters spirit and therefore fear of getting into a fight. He can box at range he can't fight on the inside nor can he get into a brawl as he doesn't have the stamina. Haye's only chance is to make Wlad do what he doesn't like to do. If he can't he gets knocked out. Tyson would, Haye ?
