I'm sorry to say this. It's cool that this fight is generating excitement; but barring a big mistake by Wlad, this is basically Wlad TKO within 6.

Keep in mind that Mike is maybe 5'9 or 5'10 in person. Him at 220 is a lot different than Haye, who is probably 6'1 in person, at 212.

Also, Mike had better movement, punch slipping, KO power, ring generalship and defense than Haye.

Mike had amazing fundamental skills, textbook technique and crazy explosive speed and power. He also had Cus, Teddy and Rooney.

Haye has none of those things.

It should be illegal to say David Haye and Mike Tyson in the same sentence.

However, Tyson vs. Wlad = Tyson KO 2

Tyson vs. Haye = Tyson KO 3 - He would need the extra round to catch Haye's running ass.

LOL at anyone who thinks Tyson beats Wlad, Tyson always had problems against big tall fighters even in his prime, and we all know damn well he never besides Lennox he never fought an elite one.

And this is coming from someone who used to chill on Amboy(Brooklyn Ny) with Tyson.

This had been threaded to death, but you are crazy.

First, you can't count Lennox because Tyson was so past it, he had no chance of winning.

    The reason is...

What made Tyson great wasn't just his power, it was head movement and speed.

If he fought Lennox or Wlad in his prime it would have when the same way.

Both Lennox and Wlad are using the same style (thx to Manny). Fight tall, keep the distance, use the jab to set up bombs.

Mike was too quick for either of them at his best. He'd slip the jab, weave inside, right hook to the body, right uppercut, left hook = KO victory in both cases.

Both Lennox and Wlad were KO'ed by less powerful and slower punchers than Tyson.

So are you gonna ignore the fights in his prime which he struggled to decisions against big tall lower C Class fighters.

    well said.

by the time tyson fought lewis, he was a four or five round fighter. still had the leverage but his ability to throw combinations and put his punchers together while moving had definately regressed. his shot-taking ability as well.

i believe tyson in his prime(before prison) would have ko'd wk. not sure about lewis and vk as tyson had trouble with skilled, taller fighers that didn't lose the fight in the locker room(tucker).

comparing haye to tyson simply because of their weight similarities is just ignorant.

it as ignorant as saying tyson doesnt know **** about boxing.

tyson was an astute student of the game that watched almost every championship fight with d'amato.

    No.

You're only focusing on part of Mike's quote. He said to big AND TOO TALENTED.

When Mike was prime with Rooney, he believed he was the strongest, most talented heavyweight out there.

Tyson was always flawed, BUT, his relentless style would put Wlad on the back foot, and that is somewhere he tends to drown.

Mike was still a little small for the Klitchkos. but he would have a better chance than Haye. Mike was a real heavyweight who could punch.
