    What's also funny is that people actually believe he's on PEDs yet the ******s on here fail to realize that Archie Moore was fighting very well much removed from his prime too. I'm sure he was on PEDS to in the.....50's!!:patsch

    Tommy Hearns was one of the bravest and most brilliant fighters of one of the best eras of boxing in history.

    He outboxed a peak Sugar Ray Leonard, only to get stopped with a stupendous combination late on.

    He went up to middleweight and challenged one of the greatest mw champions ever, and was one of the only people ever to noticeably hurt Marvin Hagler with a punch, but was outgunned by the natural 160lbs-er after a wild, amazing fight.

    Like Hagler, the rest of the guys you named were naturally higher weight fighters than Hearns, and Tommy still managed to beat Roldan (KO4), Andries (TKO10) and Kinchen (MD12) anyway.

    gotta agree here. what the hell could he possibly have against Hearns? my guess is that he's worked himself over because of all the Hearns vs Calzaghe threads where Calzaghe is described by most of the sensible posters as a sloppy, awkward bum.

    the difference between haglers fights with hearns, leonard, and duran and hopkins wins over de la hoya and trinidad is this


    1 - hearns, leonard, and duran are clearly superior fighters to de la hoya and trinidad

    2 - after hagler had fought hearns, leonard, and duran, all 3 of these fighters went on to win world titles at middleweight or above

    hearns
    - roldan (middleweight title)
    - kinchen (super-middleweight title)
    - andries (light heavyweight title)
    - hill (light heavyweight title)

    leonard
    - lalonde (super mid and light heavy)

    duran
    - barkley (middlweight title)




    now you tell me what trinidad and de la hoya did at middlweight or above after they fought hopkins?




    all de la hoya had to start with was a robbery v eurobum sturm

    all trinidad had to start with was a victory over joppy who has a dog**** winning resume at middlweight.
