I limited it to title fights because I don't want to write a whole freaking book here on the ESB forum! The rule is valid in 90% of HW fights between two great fighters.

One (huge) reason that Jack Dempsey was Jack Dempsey (and Lamon Brewster, for example, was not) is that he was in shape, and didn't have any fat on him!

Ali, I repeat, was faster than everyone because he was the only one who didn't eat cheeseburgers. The two guys who took him to school were Frazier, who at the time was in shape, and Norton, who was also in shape. Both weighed less than Ali.

    Facts.

But what's your argument to prove that "bigger means better"?

Is it just a coincidence that the lighter man wins 90% of HW fights between two great fighters? And that 90% of the greatest HW champs were cruiserweights at their peak?

    WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Um hello..... Did you get your opinion from boxrec stats.

Vitali dominated Byrd from the 1st round on, from post to post, and all over the ring.

He tore his labrum throwing a viscious straight R.

The only embarrassment was his lack of hunger for the HW championship, and looking back he highly regrets that decision which marred his legacy.

6 more minutes and he could have had 6 months to recover and wouldv'e probably been the mandatory for Lewis giving him more than 10 days notice to take the Lewis fight, which would've allowed him to thoroughly train for it and probably have Lewis KTFO by the 4th or 5th, forever cementing him as the GOAT.:deal

Vitali was ahead on all 3 score cards against Byrd when his shoulder was injured.

Lennox was robbed in the first fight against Evander, probably the worst decision in HW Title fight history.

On the whole a good big man beats a good little man.

Louis,Ali,Liston were all considered big men in their era and outweighed most of their opponents.

Lewis dominated the division by keeping guys on the outside due to his size.
Klitschkos have dominated the division in the past decade because of their size advantage.

    Just the way it is.

Also McCall was only outweighed by 7 pounds vs.Lewis. Which is basically nothing at Heavyweight.

You mean Vitali Klitschko was ahead on the scorecards in Germany?

Wow, that was really unexpected, wasn't it? Have you actually seen the fight? I challenge you not to laugh at the Vitali robot for 9 rounds.

I'll repeat it: Lennox struggled against old man Holyfield twice. Where am I wrong?

Not true. You've been brainwashed. Liston beat one glass-jawed small guy before another small guy schooled him twice. Liston took the title from Floyd and his next oponent stopped him.

Ali was outweighed by Liston and Foreman, and weighed more than Frazier and Norton. Do you see the pattern? Those were his 4 best opponents. Who cares about the lesser opponents.

Lennox fought in an era of old fat bums. When he fought prime smaller guys, he got put to sleep twice.

"Vitali was embarrassed by Chris Byrd and Wlad was decimated by the much smaller Lamon Brewster and Corrie Sanders."

Vitali dominated the fight and lost by injury.

Both Sanders and Brewster came in at 226 (much heavier than Haye's 212).

In earlier eras there were rarely these huge weight disparities that you see today (30 pounds in the case of Wlad-Haye). When there was there were often huge talent disparities (i.e. Primo Carnera v. Louis).

In recent years the size of Bowe and Lewis were just too much for Holyfield.

Lewis and Douglas were just too big for Tyson.

I agree but to nitpick, there wasn't a significant size differential in the clay/ali liston fights.

"Lennox fought in an era of old fat bums. When he fought prime smaller guys, he got put to sleep twice. "

McCall only was giving up 6 pounds when he beat LL.

Plus LL KO'd both of these guys in the rematch and - like the Klitschkos - he smoked most of his smaller opponents.
