5 of Manny's last 6 opponents were coming off brutal KO losses, bad performances, or were drained by PAcquiao. Sometimes all of the above in the case of De LA Hoya, Cotto, and Margarito.

He also has bad defense, and has been outboxed atleast 3 times recently in his career by opponents not half the speed or boxing ability of Mayweather.


Look at his face after he fought Cotto, Margarito and Clottey.

Mosley hits harder then Pacquiao. Mosley stopped Margarito. Pacquiao could not. Pacquiao hasnt stopped an opponent since he fought Cotto. Pacquiao has shown he has no idea how to cut off the ring.

An older Mosley at nearly 40 was basically begging to be stopped, and Pacquiao couldnt do it. A nearly 40 year old Mosley who has never been a guy who could move around the ring had no trouble doing it against Pacquiao.



The difference between Mosley and Mayweather is, while Mosley can get away from punches, Mayweather can hit you and get away from punches.


As to why Vegas has Mayweather and all the top bookies have Mayweather the favorite.

you can twist anything to suit floyd. the thing is his last oppnents were all GBP in-house fight set-up to make floyd look good.
he won't even fight cotto, margarito and pacquiao who are all much more than a threat for him than jmm and ortiz.

when was the time floyd had the same workrate as pacquiao? and how does pac having wars fighting guys that floyd ducked means floyd would not get the same beating these guys get?

and mosley did nothing but ran away. i agree that if floyd did the same thing he might avoid a beatdown but even with shane running, he still got caught and was knockdowned.

floyd trying to exchange with pac would give pac more chance to tag floyd more. the only way floyd can escape harm is to make it a stinker like the oscar fight. and floyd being the slight favorite over pacquiao means he is the naturally bigger boxer and has the style's advantage but nothing more. it is amazing that even with pac's size and style disadvanatge, he is only a slight underdog.

that's what happens when you avoid the toughest challenge in your career joyboy. you will preserve your zero by fighting those in-house setups. if pac is not naturally smaller than floyd, i doubt floyd would still be the favorite. and who cares if pac would be the heavy underdog, he always proves people wrong the better when he is counted out.
