Wlad is NOT and NEVER will be considered an ATG. Neither will Haye.

To be an ATG you have to beat an ATG.

    Nothing more to say.

Wlad is an ATG. He beat Sam Peter and Chageav. That locks his place as an ATG.

If you can name 50 heavyweights better than wlad than you truly dont know **** about boxing.

Wlad is now in the top 25 all time amongst heavyweights. I will happily post my list compared to you and you will look like a fool.

So it's physically impossible for Wlad or ANY HEAVYWEIGHT AFTER HIM FOR THE REST OF EXISTENCE to become an all-time great, unless he beats and likely permanently injures an ancient, shot Holyfield?

Pippen gets no love still:-(. The guy leads his team in EVERY category and possibly got cheated against the Knicks the same year when they didn't have Jordan. Him and Jordan had each other to be great but Jordan should obviously rate higher but too many people sleep on Pippen. I'm sorry, averaging about 20 pts WITH Jordan on your team is still a great accomplishment as is getting every team you're on to the playoffs either with or without Jordan. The guy is great and sport for sport I'd rank him over Wlad if that makes sense lol.

How many other heavyweight champs have 14 major title defenses and working on #15?

It's very hard to say Vitali & Wlad are not ATGs. They fought everyone they could and came out on top almost all of the times also facing hungry fighters which does mark greatness. They're great and yes the dominance is boring but you can't ignore it and they don't fear challenges either. Both deserve to be HOF'ers and I consider them ATGs even for my high standards.

For me something works against them, although Vitali is the one who looks more ATG than Vlad. Look at the press conferences of their fights against all the opponents. They are giants, not just taller but 30 pounds bigger and size mismatches. The heavyweights contenders of today are not great, so being decently skilled and very good heavyweights means they are going to dominate who they box. I guess there is nothing they can do about it being so good and so big. But still, I think that weight difference makes these fights mismatches. We had tall guys fight at heavyweight like Henry Akinwande, but he was not big in weight. The weight and overall size. Too much advantages. If Haye were the size of Vlad tommorow, I would say he would win easily enough. But I think Vlad will win easily by 2 or 3 round knockout.

If Haye was the size of Wlad, he would be a completely different fighter and likely never would have been a cruiserweight to begin with. It's an even dumber supposition than intergenerational fantasy boxing predictions which the ATG zealots love so much.

regardless of his era....longevity factors in ATG status too, its a stupid made term to stir debate.,,,, pull every heavyweight champion out of their decade and not many have been the champion for almost a decade..hes also won multiple world titles, having lost and able to win them back, either way you want to look at him, he fought just about everyone from his era except for the ones that didnt want to fight him (valuev, ruiz)

Wlad is a hall of famer. He will probably be an All Time Great when his career ends, and tomorrow's fight will be crucial. Wlad won't be a footnote on Heavyweight history: he has been dominating for several years, has more than 10 title defenses, is the best fighter of a generation of Eastern Euro heavyweights, has been unified champion, has been the best fighter post-Lewis, holds belts simultaneously with his brother, etc. Do I need to continue? Wlad is a very interesting chapter of the heavyweight division.

It's absurd to say that Wlad is a footnote. He's a Hall of Famer and is close to the All Time Greatness.

Wlad is the Ring Champion, a future Hall of Famer, and possibly an ATG.

Fighters usually don't get that distinction until some time after their career is over.

Wlad is potentially an ATG, as his brother is.

Just like Holmes, they're fighting and whipping everyone available, and it's not their fault that the opposition is sub-par... Actually, it could be said that Holmes failed to fight some credible fighters that he should have fought... The Klits aren't guilty of this.

There is literally NOONE to fight. The heavyweight division is a ****ing joke.

And as for the dumbass who asserted that to be an ATG, you need to beat an ATG: Go do some homework! There are plenty of examples of this not being the case.

Good point but at the same time if they seek out every reasonable challenge they can and past the tests at least most of the times you can't brush that under a rug. It's not just their size & skills, many of their opponents of recent times come for a paycheck which also makes the K bros look bad though that's not the K bros' faults. Not their faults their aren't very, very good or great figthers in their time but it looks bad on Vitali's part that the only great fighter he fought he lost to. Byrd, Chagaev, Peter, and Chambers were good but just not enough though they were available and all beaten decisively. Sad that Haye may actually be the best fighter Wlad may have fought though we don't really know how good Haye is until Sat afternoon.
