Obvisouly there have been many threads about who would win in their respective primes, SRR or SRL. But state which of the two immortal Sugar Rays have the advantage in the categories described below??

    Hand Speed
    Left Hook
    Right Cross
    Combinations
    Greater Offensive Arsenal
    Defense
    Foot Work
    Stamina
    Ring Generalship
    Will To Win

    Hand Speed- Leonard
    Left Hook- Robinson
    Right Cross- Robinson
    Combinations- Robinson
    Greater Offensive Arsenal- Robinson
    Defense- Leonard
Foot Work- Equal (if forced to pick, I'd choose Leonard)
    Stamina- Equal
    Ring Generalship- Robinson
    Will To Win- Equal

this is definitely one of them. a lot of people list robinson vs jones as an all-time matchup but roy was too big and imo would handle robinson. i feel this is more of an even matchup. from what i've seen most pick robinson in this matchup but it's hard to pick against someone who had wins over benitez, duran and hearns at 147.

it is rare that a fighter like Ray could beat 3 ATG guys so close together. As much as it helped Ray, those 3 guys had a hard time escaping the losses to Ray for a long time. But they did eventually.

Yep, it would be a very intriguing matchup most likely to be a trilogy (or more). Robinson would be encountering a boxer who may have had the faster hands (some old timers I talked with dispute that claim, stating SRR equaled or exceded SRL's handspeed, idk). Leonard would encounter a boxer who could outgun him and would equal his will to win. It's a shame there aren't enough SRR fights at welter.

All to Robinson outside of handspeed and defence. Those are enough to buy Leonard a win in a series though.
