Haye is not that good in the fist place. Neither is Klitschko. Both would get stuffed by almost any elite heavyweight.

"Small heavyweight" seems to be the term for a regular-sized heavyweight without prediabetes, these days. David Haye weighed in, perfectly normally at about four and a half pounds under what George Foreman weighed, when he won the title and he's about, what, a half an inch to an inch shorter than "Big" George? He struggled to make cruiserweight toward the end. Frankly, going by natural, non-fat weight, I don't think guys like Ibragimov and Chambers are really much different from David, and they're just normal heavyweights. There are only two elite super heavyweights in the division and it's probably not a coincidence they're related. Haye's not small, Wladimir's just very big. Dempsey wasn't small because Willard was huge either.

 

I already respect Wlad as a great boxer, i just usually find him boring since '06.

To improve his standing with me, he has to fight more like "Sonny Liston" & less saftey first. :deal

 

haye is mouthy but he is also good at selling a fight i personally dont think he is that small its just that the klits are just big. haye must try to make his size an advantage . a haye win will be the best thing for boxing wlad is good at what he does but he is so boring i never re watch his fights more than once .the heavyweight champion should have a bit of an edge to him in the ring not a negative defensive style

 

I don't regard Haye as being any better than guys like Sultan Ibragimov,Eddie Chambers and Samuel Peter.Just like those guys,he'll simply be another good,solid name on Wladimir's resume.I rank Wlad's win over Chagaev and Byrd was certainly a better and more accomplished fighter than Haye ever was.



Wlad will be remembered as a heavyweight great by the time he retires.I mean,rated as such by any non-biased and impartial boxing fan,that is.His long-standing dominance over the division simply cannot be ignored.

Haye had more Brits at the weigh in than Wlad had fans.
It might all go pear shaped tonight but Haye has got people outside Germany interested in a heavyweight title fight. An unknown quantity ,meets a Champ, who has never met a real threat imo. Let's just hope it's a good fight. And, " May The Best Man Win" .

 

Whatever accolades Haye has been, or, more likely, decorated himself with, the reasons for his reverence are not completely without credence.

Haye is in good shape and has that element of tenacity that the heavyweight division is plainly lacking. His opinion of his own abilities, and that terrible 'one-off' magazine that had him polish off Jack Dempsey and Rocky Marciano are good reasons to admonish, but at the same time here we have a fighter with ability and belief. Haye will be eager to defend his ego and that makes for a dangerous fighter.

You are much safer if you attack Wladimir and, knowing this, that is what Haye will do after shedding that preliminary coyness.

This fight is still very 50/50, but Ted Spoon is slightly favouring Haye at this time to find that 'right hand' Steward has spoke off somewhere between the 4th and 8th to force a stoppage.

Credit has to be given on either side whoever wins. If not then the heavyweight division has no credit.

I am going to watch it with sons,in law ,and a few beers, I'll probably be on here eating crow Sunday but wtf,at least I will be here to admit I got it wrong.

 

Haye teh cowardly wimp. He ran like a scared ***** coward for 12 boring rounds. Wlad followed And boxed his head off EVERY round. Haye tried to ***** about Wlad to teh ref every round. 2 points deducted from Haye for diving like a little girl every time Wlad touched him.Haye the fraud lied his ass off about a fake 'bad toe' to excuse himself diving to his knees many times!

 

As I expected and feared, the big fight turned out to be no fight at all. It's very difficult to care about the heavyweight division. This fight wasn't out of ordinary, it is what you've come to expect. Two fighters not willing to take a risk, and the one benefiting from it the most being Wladimir Klitschko. He's the best fighter in the world if you leave him be.

Haye I feel should now crawl under a rock and stay there, he embarrassed himself with the "performance" he put up, only a little better than the likes of Kevin Johnson. He will go down as another member of Wladimir's "bum of the month" club, among those he liked to insult so much. As Wladimir put it, Haye quit by the third round, just like the rest. The only thing separating him from the other challengers was his mouth. He let down everyone who bought into the hype and will rightfully be ridiculed for it.
