UK fans. If Klitschko defeats Haye you can't have it both ways.

I don't think most brits see Haye as some ATG. They just don't think Wlad is as unbeatable as his fans think. I think they see it Haye = very good. Wlad = very good. Wlad a lot bigger & more experienced, Haye a bit quicker.

 

Haye is not that good. Period.

It will say more about Wlad if Haye is able to beat him.

 

Mendoza, I believe your thread is FAR more applicable to Klitschko fans, and certainly the General Forum overall. The general feeling seems to be that Haye is a fraud and no better than the rest of the contenders Klitschko has fought. Therefore if he wins, its you lot that will have to revise your judgment just as much as any Haye fans. Don't try sitting on your horse as if Haye fans are somehow worse. Thats the problem with this site, people get too attached to fighters and can't see the woods for the trees.

Why does this new excuse keep coming up? Haye is not a small heavyweight. In fact he is bigger and stronger than nearly every other top 100 heavyweight from all time. Let's not forget that Haye is the same size and only ever so slightly below in weight to the young George Foreman who was seen as a physical monster.

 

The "Haye is a hypejob bum" crew can't have their cake and eat it also.

 

Agreed, works both ways. To be honest I don't really like this factor about the site, how people get so attached to guys and its like a war between them rather than just enjoying what is a good fight. It's weird IMO, grown men fanboying to this extent. Still, I suppose it gives an extra degree of tension to this fight.

This is pretty much what I was gonna write. Most Klitchsko fans have been bleating on about how Haye is basically shite. Therefore in their eyes there is no real accomplishment in Wlad beating him.

 

There isn't. But when you add Haye to Samuel Peter, Eddie Chambers, Ruslan Chagaev, Hasim Rahman, Tony Thompson, Sultan Ibragimov, Lamon Brewster, Ray Austin, Calvin Brock, Chris Byrd among many others.. that's the achievement and very few people in history have gone 5 straight years as the #1 world heavyweight and Wlad's already done that regardless of what happens tonight.
