Well, as I expected, Haye is too green to succeed in Germany against the Super HW Frankenstein. The Heavyweight division is fated to suffer much more boredom under the steroided panty waists. Haye didn't do too bad. He would have done better had he been a few inches taller, or if the girl were a couple inches shorter.
Nah, these guys are getting old now, both are in their mid to late 30's? I hear about some great up and comer talents coming from America, the UK and I believe even Mexico. I don't think we will have to wait long for somebody else to come along.
It's time to look away. The Heavyweight division is back to the lackluster, dire, bleak abyss. It never actually wasn't in actuality, but we had a moment of excitement and hope. The reality is that the Heavyweight division has always been one of the weakest divisions regardless of its glamor when it comes to skills, ability, and action. This is more apparent than ever now, and we can focus on the more quality skilled action-fights that the lower divisions bring. All the Heavyweight division remains is a feinting and flinching contest between limited combatants with a big punch.
I agree that the HW scene is awful. I disagree that Haye didn't do too bad. He proved he's nothing more than another also-ran ***** with very little boxing acumen, and just a big mouth. He fought scared and barely threw any punches. He'd probably lose to Tony Thompson and Chris Arreola too. He might beat Chambers because the guy can't punch. He's probably lose to most of the eastern Euro contenders. He's just another bum that somehow conned everyone into believing he was worth something, even though he had no resume to prove it.
I think that the HW division is too broad. There should be a weight limit at 230 and everything above that should be superheavy. We would get more evenly matched fighters in ht and wt which would make for more exciting fights.
