    Wlad-fanboy! :tong

I said it could be scored for Wlad by "the narrowest of margins", but the official scoring was an absolute joke, by corrupt &/or blind judges. :yep

Hey 'Ears, i don't want to fall out with you, because that totally ruins the chances of you making a movie poster for my new film idea; "Bad Taco" starring Cristobal Arreola as a underground bare-knucle boxer looking for revenge. :D

No 'Ears you misunderstand, in the film his best friend is sold a "Bad Taco" from a Taco Van which tragically kills him with food poisoning. However, it was all planned out by the insanely greedy underground bare-knuckle fight promoter Ron Queen, to push Arreola into to fighting for him against bare-knuckle boxers of the rival promoter Nob Barum, who he has been wrongly told organised the taco-poisoning! :D

:rofl Classic, Nob is one bad bandito!

Note: Arreola not too badly fat these days, but i want to see him at 230lbs for Ahunanya, then 225lbs for Wlad.

    My theory on Wlad's plan...

    1. Spend the first 3 rounds "cagey & awkward", with a cautious "feeling out" process.

    2. In rounds 4-6, try to dominate Haye with the ramrod jab & "clinch & lean" when he gets close.

    3. In the 7th round, set-up a "Steelhammer" righthand with the jab, or use a check lefthook to KO Haye.

What a difference a day makes!!! It is almost funny (in a sad way) that this question was even asked....Now that it is over, I doubt Haye could crack a top 100 list at HW....Seamus just may have been right!!!!!!

It's getting kind of funny watching otherwise established fighters **** themselves and go for desperate strategies when they enter the ring with Wlad. Wlad is truly too good for his own good.

    :good

Shame he's never going to fight the best fighter of his era though. I was impressed by the way he soaked up Haye's bombs.

    Yeah, right.

It's just a hypothetical. Wlad was clearly far and away the favorite. Haye's talk gave many hope, but anyone with boxing sense knew Haye was a natural counter-puncher which is a nightmare style against Wlad. It was no desperate strategy, but their only strategy. Clearly the British public thought too much of Booth after his "strategy" that helped beat Degale.

Dempsey-Frazier-Foreman-Tyson all would've murdered Wlad. He can't fight on the backfoot. He would've DQed himself fighting half of these opponents with a neutral ref.

Dempsey never would have reached Wlad, Frazier also and perhaps even Tyson. With his style and mastery of the jab, closing the distance on Wlad is a daunting task. Forcing him to fight off his back foot is virtually impossible unless you catch him with repeated punches (and earlier in his career). His reign of dominance has already exceeded each of the fighters you mentioned.

You know what set up Haye's best offensive attack? A feint-fake left hook. Wlad literally flinched, reacted, and backed up which set up Haye's right hand. Everything else Haye did was utterly predictable, but that was the most unpredictable thing Haye did and it was the best shot he landed.

Forcing him to fight off his back foot is not difficult. It wasn't for Corrie Sanders or Brewster. Surely Wlad is much better now, then then. He's more technical, stands up more, jabs more, doesn't give as much away to counter, conserves himself, and has much better defense. But he's almost just as reactive to pressure. Chageov and Haye both bobbed and weaved but put absolutely no forward pressure. They're both inclined counter-punchers, and that's what doomed them.

You are also wrong because Wlad clearly backed up from Haye's wild predictable right hand. Haye, instead of persisting because he lacked any inside game just backed out of range. He gave back all the range he negotiated for. He may have understood the mindset, but didn't have the tools either. You just have to persist, double the jab. Be varied and unpredictable. Wlad is a very good and effective fighter. But I think the era makes him stand out far greater than he actually is.

The only fighter to really pressure him was Peter. And in their second clash, Wlad pasted him but held far too much (Even in Ali standards). Peter's a lumbering oaf with not the necessary speed and explosion like Haye, nor does he have anywhere near the conditioning, but he does have the actual style to give Wlad trouble. Wlad's improvements are well documented in the two contests. Much more significant than Peter's decline during that span. In the era and time of a dying breed of skilled in-fighters and swarmers, the record still suggests regardless of improvements, that Wlad's more troubled by the ordinary come forward fighters like Brewster and Peter than he ever would be from the Chambers of the world.

Do you rank Wlad over those fighters? I have zero doubt that Tyson & Foreman would've done away with Wlad. I believe Frazier would've too. Wlad lowered his guard from wild attacks and feints, I believe he would from Frazier's body assault. Of course, it depends on the ref. Anything neutral, and Wlad probably DQs himself. Dempsey of Toledo... meh he could have been sparked early. But he would roared forward in a blaze of ferocity. His odds would far outweigh Haye's. That's for damn sure. And he damn near reached Williard when he busted his jaw. I'm sure he could reach Wlad.

Wlad's greatest strength is his greatness weakness. He's so damn good at what he does, in a sense that he doesn't need to develop his weaknesses. He'll kill you from the outside, and maul you on the inside with clinches. Limited, fat, weak, and unconditioned fighters get far too frustrated with his dominance and grab style. Mentally they're done, but they never had the tools or ability to beat or expose his weaknesses regardless.

Looking forward to the Adamek, never thought Haye had a chance, he was never good enough, but Adamek has the heart and a good chin I believe he can test Vitali although it is probably to much for to win.

Yeah Pete it's sort of amazing how nobody at heavyweight can fight on the inside. And it's not one of those things like Wlad takes the inside game away from them, it's that they literally don't have any inside fighting skills or adaptability period.

I mean where are the ****ing trainers to point stuff out :patsch I would love it if, say, Tyson or Foreman were to start training guys. When these guys die out a lot of boxing knowledge that has been built and proven over centuries will go with them and they haven't passed it down. I was super pumped when Sweet Pea took over as Judah's trainer recently, and his work with him has already shown.

    I don't know man.
