How did Dimitrenko lose if boxing is all about size?

 

Other sports get that it matters. In football, if you had 2 talented linebackers, one was 6'0 210 and the other was 6'3 240, every ****ing scout would take the bigger player. Why? Because size is an advantage and an important attribute itself.

You guys are reacting this way and getting all emotional because you don't like my post, but I know you idiots don't really believe that if Wlad was the same size as his opponents, that all the results would be the same??

being taller and having a bigger reach doesnt win heavyweight fights. Look at McCline, Valuev, Ray Austin, Tony Thompson, Davaryl Williamson, Etc.

 

weights have pros and cons. its completely ignorant for you to think he had the "size advantage". with the 30 pound difference, who had the speed and the cardio advantage? how did the guy with the "size advantage" go 12 rounds with haye?

 

Everyone just answer my question. Do you think that if Klitschko was the same size as all of his opponents, that he would still have won all of his fights the same way.

 

no, he would not because he would need a different skill set just like tyson would if he was 6'5".

 

Wlad's footwork and speed is criminally underrated. Most people don't see how he cut the ring off on Haye and shut down his offense. I think it's the most impressive thing about him now.

 

the guy that weighs 147lbs is 24% bigger then the guy weighing 118lbs

the guy that weighs 240lbs is 13% bigger than the guy weighing 210lbs

its pretty simple math, there is a reason weight division are more spread apart the higher up in weight you go

I agree with you 100%. I thought this knowledge was a given? Like, generally accepted knowledge. And yet some people still can't piece it together? Sometimes it's a waste of time to even attempt to spoon feed a ****** I suppose.

There is a direct and inverse relationship (look it up all of you ignoramus Haye lovers) between size, weight and power with speed, agility and endurance.

Basically you hate the guy and in your eyes Wlad can never earn credit. I never understood this whole bs about the Klitschkos being too big and the division being depleted. If it came down to size and fighting in a weak division then wouldn't Valuev reign supreme?? If Haye (even if he's a small HW) was soooo easy to beat then prior to running into Wlad, why weren't natural HW fighters beating Haye?

The HW division isn't the most deep class there is. But the same can easily be said about 147. There are just 2 fighters who are at an elite level while Berto and Ortiz are on the outside looking in.

Percentages are always going to be skewed like that, as the number increases. That's doesn't changes the fact that size plays a big role.

Are you going to tell me that if a guy 200lbs is wrestling a guy 240lbs, it doesn't matter because the percentage is not that high??? Come on bro. It damn sure matters.

i think haye lost cuz of wrong gameplan and wrong style applied,but wlad didnt win anyone over on his performance,not much of a beating!,not impressive,good fighter,skill and size is him all over,but no entertainment value,if theres no fun watching,why is their anypoint in him fighting!.
