I wasn't aware there was any manner of positive reputation to uphold.

If Carl Croch does not defeat Andre Ward British boxing is dead. Not like it was alive anyway, just a vegetable.

You mean the rep of being loudmouthed, glass-jawed jokes?

Don't worry, he did his part.

Hayes reputation is total schambles. That performace, the toe injury, after 3 years of trash talk and boasting how easily he would win. The Audley and Valuev fight.

Everyhting Haye has said over the last several years has been total bull****.

It won't damage the reputation of our fighters IMO. Boxers like Carl Froch and Amir Khan are ahead of him in my rankings anyway, so it's not as if it was our best fighter that was completely outclassed tonight.

What it will do is harm the sport IMO. a lot of the general public are too blindsighted by Sky Sports and believe Haye to be the best boxer on the planet. They saw him in a joke fight in Harrison, now they see him put in a pretty diabolical performance tonight. It will pretty much harm their perception of the sport. It's dying in the UK anyway. This doesn't exactly help.

He would have been better of getting Pizza Faced. He will forever be a joke to the world of boxing.

That was not the performance of a fighter that believed his own words, and really wanted the fight, and was ready to die on his sword.

That was the fight of a coward.

This isn't the olympic games, nobody fights for countrys they fight for money and would happily fight outside of their own country every fight if it meant more money, there are plenty of Brits who hate Haye and wanted him knocked out just look at this forum for starters.

I have never seen worse examples in my entire life. I don't know which of those talked smack for 3 years and on a stage that could have helped boxing or hurt it, the sport suffered. It is not often you see such a cowardly performance.
At least Tyson biting the ear was a sign of aggression.

Haye was flopping on the canvas. Not throwing punches and then complained it was his toe. Get real homey or stop trolling.

For the record my thread posed a question and did not make a statement.
