I think this will end early. There's cold in there, high humidity and slippery canvas, the warm-up was more than half an hour ago and they can punch like hell.
Very close so far. Big punch could come at any moment. Wlad controlling with the mostly ineffective jab, Haye inactive but looking for openings for the biggie.
Klitschko in controll, Haye still looking for the opening, soon he'll have to find one. Wlad is cut but well ahead. David is still very dangerous.
I had it 116-110 ... for Wlad, thx for the money! Too bad David wasn't more active but if he was looking for the big opening he failed bigtime because it was came. I guess there are several rounds that could've gone either way, but ultimately Wlad was the more active AND effective. Point deducton and crap knockdown evened each other out, so there is no argument who won. Only no KO this time.
:woo Wear it proudly Bajingo, earned your new monthlong avatar fair and square :yep And what was Haye exciting again... How did he earn that praise? :blood
Bit of a shame. That's what I was worried about so much hype, failed results. Terrible fight, after the nervousness and anticipation wore off at around round 5-6 it was terrible. Terrible performance by Haye.
Did I hear Haye blaming a broken toe? :lol Broken back would've been excuse making in style David, but I guess it's hard to say I was dominated by a superior fighter. Anyway, credit to both, there was some serious trap making and high intenstity and both managed to see the end which was not easy in any way. But Wlad once again rose to the occasion and adjusted to a faster and more mobile fighter. The Klitschkos are not just big, big HWs get knocked out all the time. They are skilled, smart elite level HWs happen to be big and using that to their advantage - and they are one more thing - sure HOF-ers.
Bit of a shame. Two of the biggest boxing events of the year, Pacquiao-Mosley and Klitschko-Haye, both come up way flat. Mosley doing his running man act, and Haye not doing much. At least Haye looked like he did have a bit of a gameplan, but Wlad's very underrated foot speed made Haye looks silly. Mosley didn't do jack besides run for 36 minutes. Isn't it funny too though? The two biggest fights of the year, both wide scores, and both losers have something wrong with their feet. Haye's toe and Mosley's blister.

Well.... Obviously, Im a bit dissapointed in the fight. Dont get me wrong, I am happy that Wlad got his win over Haye. It wasnt controversial, it wasnt a robbery. Wladimir Klitschko beat David Haye. BUT I was dissapointed, and I see a lot of people pissing on Haye, and for good reasons, but honestly? Im just as dissapointed in Wlad this fight if I take away my happyness of him getting the W by any means.... I didnt really care how he won, I just wanted him to win. But now that hes done that, I have to admit... I dont think any fighter in boxings history, makes me as frustrated and mad while watching him as Wlad. Wlad follows, follows, follows, follows.... then Haye rushes into to throw some pot shots, and what does wlad do? He either backs off completely out of range, or he kinda smothers haye inside. So he follows the guy around, and when the guy gets into range, he either brings himself out of range again, or he smothers any possible work to be done on the inside..... I was saying round after round after round, to MEET haye when hes coming in with PUNCHES.... then finally Manny tells him to stop falling back when Haye comes in but meet him with a check hook. Finally, in the very last round, Wlad actually starts standing his ground and puts punches together. And then his complete lack of any punches to Hayes body. He stands there putting jabs out with Haye having his hands down and completely slipping all of Wlads punches, when the entire fight, he could have been setting things up with some straight rights to Hayes chest.... Hayes body is 10 times easier to hit then his head. Wlad should have been shooting lead right hands to Hayes mid section all night. Even blocked punches would be moving haye, sapping his strength..... anyways.... Both fighters were dissapointing, but at least Wlad got the W. And it was against a fast, powerful, athletic fighter. Not one of the fat slobs that so many say is the reason he wins. I think a big reason Im as mad as I am though is this was built up, and once again.... makes boxing look dull. And after all the talk from both fighters, to come out and fight like that. Anyways, if Haye doesnt retire, Id like to see him fight Adamek after Adamek loses to Vitali. A good fight and one that makes sense. For Wlad.... not a whole lot of options. Id have Helenius and Arreola fight eachother, winner faces Wlad. But anyways.... Glad Wlad won, but as for the fight itself, pretty dissapointing. But, make no mistake... I am happy for Wlad. And honestly, Haye showed some things himself. He took a good right hand from Wlad, he showed some good defensive movements, and he was able to do some decent counters. But he was simply outmatched, and despite all his hollow talk, didnt bring the fire like he said he would. Youre not going to beat wlad by outboxing him or trying to pot shot him.... aint happening. Anyways, it was a let down, but theres a lot of good boxing still on its way :good
Am I the only one who actually liked Haye/Klitschko? I went exactly how I imagined it (except for the KO). Few punches thrown, even fewer landed, focus on the defense, yet high intensity. I thought Haye did good. He was elusive.. He took away Wladimir's jab as he said he would, not by running but by slipping the punches, and he landed a couple of good shots. The fact is that Wladimir with his size is just the better man. Tough luck for Haye that it was Wladimir and not Vitali he fought. I think Vitali/Haye could have been much better and muuuch muuch closer. Oh my did Barros win? BigBone might you tell me who's the new champ?
