If he tried that stepping back **** he gets away with against much smaller men, he would have eaten a right hand.

    Lewis beats him, quite convincingly.

:lol:Not really mate, im of the belief that Lennox would bumrush Wlad much like he did Golota and Grant, we all know Wlad can be vulnrable and we Know Lennox felt the need to take out dangerous opponents out early.:good

Besides Lewis' KO loses, he went twelve mostly boring rounds with Zeljko Mavrovic (and before that with Tony Tucker).

I might favor Lewis but not by much.

Just putting everyone in their place: Lewis > Wlad > Vitali > Haye.

I put Vitali before Wlad and Lewis and Vitali even. Lewis beat Vitali square and fair. But he didn't have the stones to make a rematch for a fight that cried out for one and finish his career properly.

Lewis was far removed from his prime when that matchup occured yet he still stopped Vitali, his resume is also quite a bit better.

    Lewis>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Vitali

Lewis lost twice to lesser punchers.

I think the fight would had been ultra boring with both guys fighting carefully. But Lennox would most def had taken the decision.

    Lennox by UD/SD.

Wlad is a bigger, stronger Lennox, only not as dynamic. He has the tools to beat Lennox, but not the drive.

British fans had Haye as a betting favorite...

It's a matter of what they did in the ring: Lewis obviously has a top 10 ATG record; Wladimir has at least a top 25 ATG record and arguably a top 20 ATG record, and a top 15 ATG if he keeps winning and Haye has some more good wins; Vitali just doesn't have that kind of record.

There was no reason for an ageing Lewis to risk getting even older overnight against someone he'd already beaten into a pulp.

I agree. They are very similar but Lewis had more dog in him. Although he could be passive, when he needed to he could turn the aggression on. Wlad may even be better in certain area's but not in key area's. It would get turned in to a physical fight and Wlad does not have the mentality for it. Early K.O by Lewis.

Lewis was more aggressive early in the fight but fizzled after 8 rds in fact he never scored a KO after 8...with that knowledge Vlad should fight a defensive fight behind the jab and fight hard after the 6th-7th rd...I felt Vitali was on his way to victory over Lewis and Vlad is a harder puncher but Vitali takes a great shot better than Lewis or Vlad....Vlad vs Lewis could be an early KO by Lewis or Vlad could have caught him as well but as the fight goes on I would favor Vlad by UD or a KO from 9-12
