Mayweather, is one of my favorite fighters. You always enjoy when one of your favorites is fighting. That's why you enjoyed last night's fight. Furthermore, Mayweather/De La Hoya, while not an action packed fight, was a much better fight than last night's fight. Mayweather didn't just try to sit on a lead, and actually went after Hoya towards the end of that fight. And Hoya was giving it his all down the stretch as well.

no ti wasn't it was a one sided fight with no chance of anything dramatic happening.

while haye vs klit you know any one punch can ko either fighter.

After a while you kind of knew that Haye wouldn't knock Wlad out with a single punch and wasn't going to make an all-out offense.

Yeah, but neither guy was throwing any punches. They were just staring at each other the whole time. I thought Haye did a terric job of avoiding the jab. However, he kept leaping with that same right hand that Wlad blocked just about every time. It was pretty obvious to anyone watching, that around round 7 or 8, that Haye could only win by KO. However, he refused to take many chances to KO Wlad. He was just looking for one big shot. In the Mayweather/Hoya fight, Hoya was actually throwing more punches than Mayweather. There was definitely more drama in that fight. Hell, it was a SD. It would've been a draw had Mayweather coasted in the 12th. I was on the edge of my seat in the first half of last night's fight. However, it became obvious that Haye just wanted to survive, and I was completely bored during the second half.

The only negative for me was other than Wlad's jab so few punches were thrown.

The movement and workrate were great. The tension in the first half was epic. In the second half this dissipated slightly as it seemed the punches they could get through did not have enough on them to turn the fight.

It seemed to flow so quickly for a HW bout. Seriously impressed with how nimble Wlad was for a big bloke, plus how he was pressing the action and forcing Haye back.
Haye was good defensively, but just couldn't reach Wlad with anything meaningful.

This is my viewpoint as well.
Could be biased cause I haven't followed heavyweight action in years.
However, after hearing Haye's promises for a knockout continuously, even tweets hours before the fight... I really felt he would take more risk, especially when trailing. Wlad fought the same fight he fights every time, well... I can't fault him, cause he was never forced to fight any different. Not entertaining, but precise and effective.

I enjoyed the fight, thought it was an exciting event, but I didn't sit down to watch the fight with a miserable, negative attitude.
I think that most of the people that didn't enjoy it are just looking for any reason to complain.

I'm usually critical of Wlad in these type of performances, but I can't be here. Usually he fights cautious against guys who are completely overmatched against him. That's frustrating. Haye at least had the attributes to take Wlad out. So I''m okay with Wlad not being overly aggressive. Haye has no excuse though. If his toe was hurting and he couldn't push off, then he should've tried to fight more on the inside. I can't understand how someone could talk that much ****, and then basically give up. What's worse is that he wasn't overmatched here. He has the talent to compete with a guy like Wlad. However, he doesn't have the toughness, the heart, or the confidence in his chin and conditioning to compete with Wlad.

Loved the ring entrances. But it was hard to enjoy a one sided blowout that lacked any real significant exchanges or signature moments.

I can only speak for myself here. That wasn't my attitude. I was really excited for this fight. However, I was extremely dissapointed in the fight, and especially Haye's performance. Like I said earlier, we all know in the second half of the fight that Haye could only win by stoppage. However, he didn't try much to get the stoppage and Wlad didn't press much himself. To me, it's pretty apparent why a neutral obsevers would not have enjoyed that fight.

The fight went as I predicted, so I wasnt disappointed or highly entertained. I agree that was a decent fight. Haye was taken to school though.

Yeah I enjoyed the fight I was hoping Haye would win but Wladimir fought a great fight and deserved the win, it was probably the most exciting Wlad fight i've seen.

I enjoyed the fight immensly. I like boxing matches where both men showcase boxing skills. Wlad's head movement was awesome and surprised and frustrated Haye. Haye showed some chin and durability that I'm sure frustrated Wlad. These are two heavyweight fighters who both know how to box and gave true fans of the sport a good, sustained tactical battle. I would pay to see a rematch, both these big dudes have fearsome, one-punch K.O. power that keeps you on the end of your seat. You can never relax.

I did, both were throwing bombs from time to time, and you had that feeling that if one of them lands flush, it will be all over. I also enjoyed haye's overall balance and head movement, it was really eye-catchy how he made Wlad's miss much more often than he's used to. Overall a decent fight, better than i anticipated.
