Dan Rafael Shocking Lack of Professionalism

    Whilst Haye most definitely looked a fool for losing a near shut out in a dull fight, especially with his crass behaviour pre-fight, I cannot get over the sheer lack of professionalism that Rafael is showing on the ESPN boxing site as well his twitter. It looks terrible and i think frankly he should be ashamed with his 'oneupmanship' and lack of journalistic integrity. At the end of the Haye stepped into the ring and took 12 rounds of punishment and has to face up to it himself and I find it disgusting that scribe of a sport such as boxing could act in this manner.

    P.S. I am not a David Haye fan and applauded Wlad for how he carried himself through the entire 2 years of build up and expected him to win.

    He does seem to forget that he's a journalist, not a blogger.
    It's highly annoying. No more annoying than the venom that the HBO crew was spewing, though.

    I agree shocking lack of professionalism, was shocked looking at the guys twitter, does he have a history with haye or something? Very odd behavior.

    So I'm guessing you were a Haye fan and this is post #1 on the new account? ;)

    Fat Dan writes some good stuff sometimes actually. He just gets overly critical of many of the fighters he doesn't like (remember when this happened w/ Briggs- he took a terrible beating against Vitaly).

    Its hard to take it seriously and for some downright disrespect due to the fact he is a fat guy critic of boxers? In this case though he can slam Haye all he wants. Guy showed no class and ran in the ring, then makes BS excuses after. I would have though he'd go balls out through round 3 at least.

    perhaps he bet on haye?

    even the most seasoned handicappers still get upset when the fighter they bet on does not come to fight.

    No I have never actully been a member of ESB, i was member of the old BBC 606, but this is my first genuine post here. The only reason i joined as i have been trying to find an outlet over his behaviour, which no one appears to have brought up.

    'Fat' Dan Rafael is a disgrace. Letting his own dislike of Haye get in the way of professionalism.

    Since this whole saga began between wlad and haye i've lost all respect I ever had for rafael.

    He used to be the person i'd read the most but his lack of professionalism is disgraceful.

    Like haye or not it cannot be denied that he stepped through the ropes with the best heavyweight in the world without being 100%. That alone is enough to respect the man.

    We want the best to fight the best and that happened here so there should be no negative fallout.

    Yeah fat dan is annoying but his classless comments are nothing to the ones briggs and gaye diva spew out about the klitschko's
