This may be a bit rough on Tito to give him a top guy like Machida just now, but I can't see anyone else that's viable and available at the moment. Why haven't the UFC signed Mousasi do you think?
Agreed, but it's not fair to keep Machida sitting on the shelf, and unless the UFC sign Mousasi who else is available right now?
About Mousasi, with his last fight with Jardine and the fact the UFC haven' gone out of their way to snap up other good Strikeforce fighters right away (bar Diaz, by popular demand) he just isn't relevant to the UFC at the moment IMO (as much as I'd like to see him over there) Apparently Chael wants to fight Lyoto before returning to 185. Maybe Chael Vs Tito is a good comeback fight for Sonnen?
Did you mean to write the same name twice there? Or does Chael want to fight Lyoto but you think Tito would be the better choice? I'd be interested in either fight though, both sound good.
Doubt it. For a while they were just trying to make some money off of his popularity but were basically trying to get rid of him and build up other people's names off of his. Now that he's won (and looked much better with his movement than he has in a long time) they're going to put him in with someone the can beat so they can keep making money.
Oh, that's right. Machida may get the winner of that bout. The winner of Evans and Davis will get the winner of Jones and Jackson. The winner of Evans/Davis/Jones/Jackson will get Machida, or the Winner of Machida vs Griffin/Shogun. That's my guess, anyway. It all depends on how long that takes to unfold on whether or not Machida will have to fight again to get a title shot.
