Hmmmmmm, it looks like I'm losing the championship position via highway robbery. :-( That's the only way you people have a chance BTW. Well, it's good to have the robbery clause at least!

WBA featherweight champion Jonathan Victor Barros (33-1-1, 18 KOs) definitely benefited from the hometown advantage on Saturday night at the Polideportivo La Colonia in Junin, Mendoza, Argentina, winning a very debatable split decision over Celestino Caballero (34-4, 23 KOs) of Panama. Two knockdowns and constant aggression were not sufficient for the 35-year-old Caballero, in the eyes of the judges, to lift the crown from the local champion who was awarded a 114-112 (Sergio Caiz), 116-110 (Cesar Ramos) vote while judge Denny Nelson gave the nod to Caballero by 115-111. The local Argentinian TV commentators also saw Caballero the winner by the score of 115-112.

I honestly didn't see the fight but I understand from IB's rbr that it was a close victory for Barros. You better get that poll up and running BB.

I'll take a day or two to assess that pick though. Have to check out some of Ramos's fights. And maybe rewatch Sugar Shimoda vs Li Lee. I'll have you as first priority SHOULD I change my pick though. Still not sure.

Read the rules. The People's Champ must accept all challenges. :thumbsup

They dont say anything about me not being allowed to change my picks though. As long as it's not close to the date of the fight.

Edit: Ok whatever. I'll take Ramos for my defense. But I still may change my pick for the REAL championship.

    Edit Edit: BRING IT FATSKELETON

People' champion must make it's picks and accept ANY challenge. You can draw butterflies next to your picks and the same rules apply. Don't f*ck with Japanese boxers, or they'll f*ck with you! :ibutt

It was a bit like Sea World... "The 3 front rows will get wet!" :D

I was sitting in the 8A section, wich only got some blown around drops due to the wind.
Looked like a mixed section though, 2 places next to me I had Austin Powers (I swear you, complete with glasses, haircut, accent and bad teeth)!
And behind me I had a real life British hooligan (cursing and swearing) who did have a nice perspective on it all, cause he had figured out Haye was going to lose the fight on points after about 3 rounds :yep But the drunker, the more violent he got.
Until he almost got into a fight with a guy that was about 1½ times his size...

On the way back I spoke to quite a lot of Brits, who were a lot more civilised and a most of them were ashamed of Haye's performance and a lot of their countrymen who got into a lot of fights afterwards.

For the ones who don't know Austin...

    P.S. (no, not a 3½ minute P.S. Like Wlad's)
I feel for the guys that bought ringside tickets... They were amazingly expensive, and it was the only part of the Arena that wasn't covered while it was pouring rain. And then they got this fight :-(
