Is Manny Steward the best trainer in boxing history ?

    Or would you give that to Cus D'amato ? I mean this guy's era (as a "winning" trainer) is still as dominant as ever. Lennox , Klitschko bros...

    There's alot of Freddie Roach hype, but I think the fact that Steward has trained champions during several different eras, gives him the edge over most.

    HELL, No!!!!

    Dundee, Futch, Mayweather and many many others are much much better than box head Stewart.

    Steward is great with tall guys, teaching outfighting, and has stacks of experience.

    Nah, but he is great imo, particularly at working on fundamentals imo.

    also, they(es,roach) only work with untapped winners with potential since money is no object.

    give them a marginal fighter like clottey, foreman, mathysse, alexander, etc. and you probably wont see much of an improvement.

    look at what roach recently did with GSP. ****ing awesome. his jab left koscheck essentially paralyzed and gsp to that point never used his jab as a weapon.

    very, very difficult to bet against es and roach as they have great matchmaking skills as well.

    like hopkins, both these guys wont be fully appreciated until they leave the sport.
