Most Sunday's weren't arsed hanging around for the fight, especially here. I agree though - I hate the way many only get interested to point out the negative stuff. One of the very worst things about the industry IMO.

 

Disappointing but not surprising. :verysad

 

Big article bout Joe Ward and his family and their bare knuckle history. Didnt say Ward was doing it or anything but why even bring it up. Macklin one was 2pages by that **** Mcintyre talking bout criminals being with him at the after party. Mcintyre was there too and said he was threatened and that they threatened Alex Mcleish too

His first career loss was apparently tough to take; according to the report distributed by the promoters to press row McNemar was “face down and bawling” in his locker room following the fight. After componsing himself he offered the following gem of quote:

McNemar added that Coyne “doesn’t hit hard” and he wants a rematch.

 

what a complete ****! the ***** was nearly balling his eyes out to me at the post fight presser about how Macklin was robbed.

Then he at the afterparty drinking away happily with fanny off the tele that I didnt recognise but supposedly present a regular show on RTE called The Cafe.

The two of them were at the end of the bar in the Radisson for hours gabbin on about some Irish TV awards being **** and "just an excuse for the Corrie lot to come over and get trolleyed"

The most threatening thing at the afterparty was the price of a short and a mixer.

Having been on holidays it was great to catch up with about 20 pages on the thread! Was disguted with the result in the Macklin fight, as was every other fan watching it in the english pub where I saw it. Didn't realise how strong the reaction was until reading the last few pages here.

Could anyone who was at the Hyland show tell me a) was there a big crowd there and b) were the crowds annoyed by the early stoppages in Spike and Healy's fights. It seemed as though everyone was expecting far better performances from Long and Fitzpatrick. Of course nobody could have predicted early stoppages in both, but just wondering what the crowd reaction was?

 

you got a link or something Tommy.Thats pure shite but you see it every week top boxer caught with drugs etc..The guy might have had 4 underage fights 15 years ago.Still it makes a good headline for these assholes.
The world knows Joes family are fighters and in the travelling community thta means bare knuckle its a cultural thing.Hardly news worthy.

 

Are Paddy powers taking odds on where Hyde is having his show in September??So far today iv heard Cork Limerick and waterford mentioned.Could have just been aguy just naming counties in Munster randomly
Galway was mentioned to me yesterday but nobody seems to have any idea for sure.
Anyone out there with some real info?

 

all i could really get from Hyde at the moment lads- but great to see another few shows in September!
