Two guys talking up a fight with things they plan to actually back up. They both mention putting on an exciting fight, the possibility of it taking place in a phone booth, their power, etc, etc, etc. Then they went out there and did just that.

Ive been watching Larry Merchant since he first drove up and at one time he was a decent commentator but in the last few years, hes been having visions of granduer. If you dont see things the way he sees it then youer wrong.If a fighter disagrees with him about who he fights or where hes taking his career next, then hes got a problem with that and starts hating on the guys even when hes commentating on another fight. He dont like boxers, he likes brawlers and if guys aint in there spilling blood and guts, he starts hating.The thing is, that his time has come and gone. We need fresh talent with good insight and the ability to break a fight and fighers down the way they are rather than the way he thinks they should be. Down with Merchant already:fire

 

You cannot judge it universally cause universally life is unfair. I see reason why some people oppose Rafael point of view.

 

Unfortunately in this day and age, its keyboard Warriors like us who write and have sports shows on TV.

Most of the writers nowdays who work for TV and newpapers dont know the meaning of journalistic integrity........and I'll even go as far that many of them are paid off by the likes of fight promoters to write good things about their fighters and diss the aposing promoters fighters.


This joke of a so called boxing journalist that many people call "Fat Dan" is the same idiot who wrote a full piece way back when Juan Manuel Marquez got robbed vs Chris John.
He wrote a piece depicting John as the rightful and clear winner of the fight.

What "Fat Dan" did'nt tell us is that he had not seen the fight and almost word for word, he was plaguerizing the reports of the hometown Indonesian boxing correspondent in that country.

Years later after Marquez had faced Pacquiao in a rematch, "Fat Dan" wrote of Marquez career resume and mentioned that Marquez had gotten robbed in Indonesia.:nut

The guy is a nut, I dont think he even watches half the fights he reports on.:!:
