I was like you, on the edge of my seat, but its not the kind of fight I'd wanna watch again. The fight was more of a shadow Boxing match at times. Gotta say, Haye looked terrible technically, I thought he'd improved a little after the Valuev fight, but when he has to extend himself, he just looks off balance, uncoordinated.
agree. And though some of Dave's tacticts were kind of shameless, crazy mother ****er did stand in front of Wladimir Klitchko with his hands down.
I know I went ahead and drank some of the Kool-Aid. Not only David's bravado, but I was buying into the idea that something was different about Wlad. He seemed genuinely mad at Haye and I thought that might bring out a "different" Wlad. Wlad was the nearly perfect professional as always. ****, hardly anything Wlad said in the face off and stuff didn't turn out exactly like he said it would.....other than the pizza and 12th round KO. David landed big in the 12th though.
After all the excitement and suspense leading up, the fight itself was like a balloon with a slow leak. Haye's speed and elusiveness was quite apparent. I don't know why he refused to use that quickness to slip and close distance before attacking. Launching bombs from way outside clearly wasn't working, but he never attempted anything else. I immediately erased the fight from my dvr, if that's any indication of how much I enjoyed it.
I have never been this excited for a HW fight. I was on the edge of my seat the whole fight. I Oooooohh and Aaaaaawwhh'ed every time one of them tried to throw a right hand . Even my mom said that this was the first Klitschko fight where she didn't fall asleep watching .
whos fault is it that you expected foreman-lyle? did you not watch haye or wlads previous fights before?
terrible fight to watch...., but haye did alot of good things defensively to avoid wlad's jab that no other opponents were able to do thus far, thats the only part I enjoyed seeing,.... definitely ranks up there as one of the worst fights to watch
haye stayed in range most of the fight, i have no idea where the thing about he ran comes form, he didnt throw many punches but he did stay in range.
Sure did. It was very enjoyable to see David Haye's heart ripped from his chest and his spirit completely taken away. After all of that talk, David Haye ended up fighting even more petrified than Wlad's other opponents. To see Haye concede the fact that he had no chance in there and basically just try to finish the fight on his feet was great.
Absolutely loved it. Looked great from ringside and the whole experience was superb. A really enjoyable night
It was ok. My gf loves boxing and hated it. Said it was a waste of time and both of them are pussies.
