The only part of David Haye which still has credibility is his chin

Haye is still a world class heavyweight though he may never fight again

He didnt get destroyed & had a few brief moments, that not an embarrassingly painful performance like some of Wladimir's opponents

Probably a stupid question but any chance of a rematch before October?

Well his foot clearly hampered his movement. I don't care if it sounds a crap excuse, watch the fight again and Haye's right foot is static throughout. Even though Wlad would have cornered him and limited his movement anyway it wouldn't have been this obvious so early on.

Haye even looked like he hobbled to the ring watching again and there's further proof that if clearly affected him when he fell to the floor in literally every single round.

 

Stands to reason Haye was alert because Wlad didn't break him down. He landed more than Haye, which isn't a lot, its just more than Haye. Haye was never softened up like previous opponents because Wlad lacked success. It wasn't a masterpiece like Bunce was waffling on about. He did enough in each round but didn't enjoy great success. Haye's reflexes were the best I've ever seen them. It's not like he was hiding behind the peek-a-boo, he was there to be hit but his reflexes were excellent on the night and it took Wlad's jab success rate down tremendously. His feinting and power also worried Wladimir.

 

When Haye retires what we're going to get is a lot of young guys who are not ready for title fights being given title fights because there's simply no one out there.

Looking at the current landscape there is no one out there that the Klits would consider a threat.

What I'd like to see is former Klit opponents to go for the other brother. Arreola would at least take the fight to Wlad and go all out and Chambers could trouble Vitali.

And Povetkin better get a move on, so much promise and Atlas ****s that **** up. Pre-Atlas Povetkin against Vitali? :hey

 

I still maintain that Arreola possesses the biggest threat to Wlad in the heavyweight division right now.

There are plenty of fights out there for both Klitschko brothers, the problem is these contenders need to start fighting each other so they actually deserve the shot. Beating Ray Austin shouldn't make you the WBC mandatory atsch and beating Valuev doesn't make you the world champion.

Wlad was never hurt, but haye was stunned in the 9th and 12th.

 

Agreed. Those were just the factors I think stopped Wlad stepping on the gas. He only ever does it when his opponent is on his last legs and he never enjoyed the success to put Haye in that position. The reasons I don't think he did were 1. Haye's reflexes 2. Haye's feinting - even Ibragimov's infantile feinting worried him and 3. His power, even when hitting gloves would have got Wlad's attention.

 

Haye wasn't stunned except for once when he quickly recovered and got out of there, stop talking ****.

And Wlad wasn't hurt per se but felt his power and showed that same "I don't want to be hit" mentality he's always had.

 

Round 12 Wlad was deffo stunned and he was clinching like ****.

 

Wlad held for about 10 seconds in the last round, he was grabbing like ****...hard. He wasn't doing it for fun, it was one of the few big clinches he initiated so there is something to read into that considering it followed a big Haye right hand. It ain't coincidence.

 

The 12th round is the one moment where Haye really needed the ref to be strong but unfortunately he'd used up all his strength ****ing up decisions early on.

 

He was hit with a great shot but wan not stunned at all. In fact he came back throwing big shots and stunned haye.
