It simply makes him look like an idiot and sore loser. Even the Haye nuthuggers cannot cling to the toe injury. It's that bad of an excuse. He should have just taken the defeat on the chin and said he got beat by the better man. His ego didn't allow him to do that. He couldn't get his shoe off quick enough. Even if the toe is genuinely broken, he made a HUGE mistake by mentioning the injury and using it as his excuse for losing. "I couldn't spring off my toe and land my Hayemaker". What an idiot.
I loved how he managed to get onto a 3 ft table post-fight to show everyone his toe. The man is a complete fraud.
mrdavidhaye david haye Wladamir was the better man last night. He did exactly what he needed to win decision. He's a great fighter, and a hard man to beat.Respect.
He shouldn't have mentioned it, it has made things worse for him. All boxers find defeat difficult to handle and make excuses post fight, Haye is hardly unique. This is even worse at the top level, where inflated ego and pressure come into play. The only guy that springs to mind who does is Kastidis, but he's an all round top human being in general.
Simply put, a distasteful way to say why he failed. Agree that he should have kept that quiet, now he is getting some serious stick.
Yes, but remember the survey said "He's just a twat" http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310735 That's the thing. It's in his nature to make stupid excuses - and apparently the toe one is not the only excuse coming out of the Haye camp right now. Haye's been full of **** for years, and it continues ...........
I still don't get why everyone gets uptight about boxers being injured. Your regular 100k a week premier league footballer gets a slight nudge in the back and he gets a trainer on. Haye clearly had a broken and swollen toe and yet apparently gets no sympathy whatsoever. You try fighting someone as good and as big as Wlad with hardly any right foot movement. Should he have mentioned it? Of course he's right to.. it's his foot. He's given Wlad enough respect after and him and Adam Booth have admitted that they just weren't good enough on the night. Roy Jones on HBO said "I don't know why he had to get his foot out.. we would have believed him more if he just told us.." :huh
Ah yes, but those 100k a week premiership players are prima donna pampered sissy ****s ........ it's common knowledge ..... look it up. :good
Ever hear the expression, "too little, too late"? Haye realised neither the media not the British public were buying his pathetic excuse and were calling it how it was. Damage control, how there Hayetards give him the benefit of the doubt is beyond me. The next day, Haye was saying he was fighting with practically one leg and imagine if he had two what he'd do to Wlad. FFS man. The guy is an absolute nobhead. He should retire.
you know, he couldnt have ****ed up the situation any more than he did. if he said nothing and maybe just said fair play to wlad i think he might have got a bit of respect for the few times he landed something. he's come home to no welcome, he's is the subject of ridicule and jokes, and he has given his opponent wladamir klitschkso a lot of respect from hayes own previous fans....he couldn't have made a bigger **** up of things i am also very surprised with adam booth, i would never have thought a man of his apparent intelligence wouldn't distance himself from hayes excuse, rather than reiterate it in the way he did.
Haye shouldn't have mentioned the toe...having said that I think that he should have pulled out of the fight....no sparring three weeks before a fight just means that you are going to fall short.
