It's never gonna happen, but if Haye lost his WBA title to Wlad, fought Vitali for the WBC, took his belt and then unified against Wlad taking his title back and Wlad's? What a ****ing story that would be. Never gonna happen though. If I were Haye and I wanted to redeem myself, and it would only take a year or two, I would take the Vitali fight and if he won it, get straight back to a Wlad rematch. This is the only door open to him, otherwise he'd have to climb back up the rankings. I implore him to do this if he's serious about being Undisputed, but I don't think he will sadly.
please no. What's Boente thinking??. Money, I think... Haye is infuriating to watch when fighting a big man. Booth wants Haye to retire, he should. I bet Haye wished he stayed at cw now. I watched the fight live, honestly it's left a bad taste in my mouth. I've now watched the fight again. Bad style match up. For both men. Never again. Please. Talk is cheap. The hype was cringe worthy, looking back at it. Why couldnt Haye be a good boy and stick to cw. In time we will look back at this and feel a sense of shame at why any of us bought into it. Haye has hurt the heavyweight division. He's hurt boxing.
Oh I'm sure most folk would be tuning in if it were to happen, no doubt including yourself. Just take it for what it is, a British fighter who's a long shot going for the Heavy Weight title. In my opinion it's still easily one of the more tastier Heavy Weight fights that could be made right now and for those who can't stand Haye there's the added bonus that he's more than likely going to get a bit of a pasting. It's not like there are a huge amount of attractive prospective heavyweight bouts out there right now. Wlad and Vit are even fishing around the British domestic scene for opponents. If one buys into all the hype they've only got themselves to blame in my opinion. The bottom line is Wlad was a pretty red hot betting favourite to win the fight, he ended up winning on points. That's the end of the story really, nothing more, nothing less.
Haye is never going to win another belt with the K's around. He made 10 times what he could earn as a cw champ by moving up to HW to fight Wlad. He should retire now because he's never getting to the summit again.
Haye doesnt deserve it. Can you imagine the sky hype? are Brits going to buy into it? What about all the Brit boxers who said Wlad was going to get his ass kicked? Are they going to say the same for Vitali? Really? I think a lot of people are eating humble pie right now and ****, Froch has stated Wlad is much better than he thought for example. I cant see the British public giving haye another chance. I really cant. Oh **** I know why Vitali wants it, he wants to **** Haye up.
They nearly always back the British fighter, it's no biggie. There seems to be a bit of a British boxers union. I think most backed Hatton to beat Pac (Floyd too) and he ended up getting flattened in a round or so.
Vitali would eat the Hayemakers and ask for more. Once more, Haye would be celebrating if he makes it too the final bell. I expect him to claim that a wedged bogie was restricting his breathing in defeat.
Hopefully Vitali doesnt fight this idiot.Let the male Katie Price **** off into retirement where he can carry on his media whoring.
Vitali would knock Haye out, he throws lots of punches and is not afraid to get hit, Haye could not hurt Vitali with his best show, Vitali cuts the ring off better, would overwhelm Haye, destroy him, could make some money with such a fight...............
I always believed Haye would have a better chance against Vitaly than against Wlad. Thing is, the Haye bubble has well and truly been burst, he wasn't that competitive against Wlad, and that was his one and only chance to become a tue champ. Haye should have gone for Vitaly a couple of years ago. Vitaly looked quite beatable on returning from his lay off, he looked very slow and wooden. However, he hasn't looked that bad in recent fights, and I think Hayer has missed his chance. Haye's one and only chance of redeeming himself now is to launch a campaign to become some kind of "2nd Tier" Champ. Maybe if he can keep it going for a few years, the Klits might finally retire and Haye can salvage something from what has turned out to be a pretty poor heavyweight campaign.
