I don't think I am. I'm talking relative to his capabilities. Bowe was good enough to beat Holy comfortably. But didn't. He fought the fight Holy wanted. It made for good watching, but was stupid on bowe's fight.

And coming in woefully out of shape is never good.

It was a great fight, yeah. No doubt. Great viewing. Because Bowe is as dumb as a brick and decided to fight Holy's fight.

Now I know you're on something. Skills mean nothing when you have the brain of a gnat.

Yeah, me too. Kind of like super skilled Golota did eh? Care to remind me how well that one went?

Tyson lost every time he stepped up to a great fighter, so nothing new here...Wlad wins easily.

Holyfield, is not tall enough to use his headbuts so he also loses on points.

Prime Lewis would win quite easily, the fight would be evry close till lewis landed a huge power shot and after that Wlad would lose by KO.

He might have been a better champion under Cus D'Amato but we will never know.

He was a great champion, but after he left Rooney, he started to decline. I know you know this story.
All of his biggest fights came after he left him, but he still had big fights like in his unification bouts and fight with a very past prime Larry Holmes

Obviously i'm a tyson fan but i respect Wlad's dominant yet largely unentertaining (most times)style. However, i'd really have to heavily favor a prime tyson over last nights wlad. Haye showed very little other than jumping in and out and hoping to land an overhand fight changing shot. Haye did however avoid most of wlad's offensive output too. The 1 or 2 times when haye managed to land one of his homerun shots, wlad appeared at least stunned (especially in the last round). Yes tyson would have further reach and size disadvantages, but prime tyson was world's better than haye in terms of skill (and perhaps courage or willingness to get inside) and would be able to get inside slip and land with a lot more frequency than haye did. Given Wlad's chin issues (Imo evident again a little last night), I don't see how Wlad would be able to either get the much quicker than him, iron chinned tyson out or survive 12 rounds with prime tyson.

I think wlad would have a fair chance w Holy who was a little more predicatable than Tyson. I'll Take Lewis's consistent heavy hands in a late stoppage over Wlad

Really?? Cant see Haye going the lasting more than 7 rounds with Lewis... Wlad won easy but,its not like this was some impressive win... Routine win,,, Wlad has convinced me hell never be exciting, he might have improved technichally, but hes has turned into a boring fighter..For as hard as Wlad hits he should be producing more fireworks,,

Maybe Hayes chin isnt as bad as i previoulsy thought, but WLad should have got the ko.

And who has Wlad beaten thats great? Tyson has better wins than Wlad, and looked awesome in dong so.. Wlad looks boring against fighters that Tyson would have kod brutally.... Unlike Wlad Tyson never lost to inferior fighters in his prime...

Wlad has as good or better wins and many more of them. Tyson was champ for a very short period of time, once he lost the title he never had a good win again.

Wlad recovered from his losses, got much better and is now champ and undefeated for 7 years. Tyson never recovered from his losses, got worse and was never the champ again. ;)

dude tyson got worse (circa 1989), went to prison for 3 -4years (circa 1992-1995 roughly) then still became champ again in his worsened - post prison form. Tyson nearly 15 years after his mid 80's prime was still beating b level guys that aren't much different than most of wlad's title defense opponents of late.

god i hate when people simplify an entire career into saying that as soon as tyson fought a good fighter, he lost

LOL at the prison excuse, and beating that bum Bruno for a belt does not make him a champ, ROFL.

Tyson was a great B level fighter who lost every time he faced a good A level fighter.

a 'great b level fighter', that's funny (and also an oxymoron). whatever guy. even if we assume tyson never beat an a level hw, the same is true for wlad and i'll take that bum bruno (assuming he's not taking a dive) to at least be competitive and have a chance to win vs ibrag, chagaev, brewster 2, byrd 2, austin.

Bottom line is Tyson did not last long ay champ, he was KO'd by a journeyman and never recovered from it. You Tyson nuthuggers never cease to amuse me with your glory days rose colored glasses view of the past.

if buster was a journeyman so was sanders (neither are simply journeymen imo, but in your worldview both would have to be so defined). yes wlad to his credit has 'recovered' to outpoint and sometimes stop varying degrees of challengers since, but in sum, tyson won 12 hw title fights: wlad 18 so yes wlad has the edge there. however, most fans would easily chose to watch tyson's 12 over wlad's 18 and it's very hard to imagine a scenario where tyson of his first 10 title wins isn't beating every challenger wlad faced and most times way more impressively. sometimes longevity isn't everything
