Why are fans of 'The Sweet Science' (Floyd/Bhop fans) slow to defend the Klitschkos?

Yet, Solis was able to beat a seven footer Julius Long (7'1). But Vitali (6'7) was too big for Solis according to haters. :patsch

Are you that dense? Do you just look at size and ignore skill level? Of course a smaller HW with superior talent will beat a naturally bigger HW regularly. That's a given. But what happens when two HWs of similiar skill level fight each other and one happens to be 30 lbs heavier and 5 inches taller? How is that smaller guy supposed to overcome that disparity? That's what i feel happened with Chambers, Ibragimov and Haye. And Povetkin had they fought.

He's suppose to with his team, come up with a fight plan to beat him, or adjust to beat him.

Chambers, Ibragimov and Haye were not equal skill to Wlad. They were less skilled. Wlad is simply the better fighter. There is no doubt beyond that.

Your reasons for getting mad are childish. :patsch

 Yeah ok. Keeping telling yourself that. Just like if Hopkins beat Pacman, you would say Hopkins was just the more skilled fighter and ignore the disparity in size as a factor.

So now the Klits are to be blamed for being too good for their freakishly large sizes. :tired

The weight to power ratio in humans is not a straight line. A 148 Pac landing a flush shot to a 178 Hopkin's chin will do less damage than a 215 pound heavyweight landing a flush shot to a 245 pounder. There seems to be a limit in human punch resistance after 200 pounds and that is the reason why no higher weight classes were created.

    Stop embarrassing yourself already.

The Klitschkos. Beats the hell out of watching the likes of Ruiz or Cory Spinks. Fans should warm up to the Klits. They beat the **** out of fat guys who deserve such beating for being so undetermined and looking for a big paycheck. The burden shouldn't be on the Klits' shoulders to change their style. There are aggressive KO artists. And then there are the Klits. They specialize in delivering pizza face for 12 rounds. Learn how to appreciate it.

To compare what Wlad does to what Mayweather and Hopkins do is ludicrous. If you are to compare another boring boxer to what Wlad does, then Sven Otkke and John Ruiz would be better comparisons.

Wlad only landed 134 punches against Haye, 148 punches against Ibragimov, 142 punches against Peter and most of these punches were jabs.

Hopkins at the age of 46 landed 129 power punches on Pascal. Yep thats right, boring old Hopkins landed almost as many power punches as Wlad did total punches. There is no comparison.

Mayweather in his last fight against Mosley landed 123 power punches only 11 punches fewer than Wlad's total punches landed.

There is no comparison, while Hopkins and Mayweather are defensive minded fighters, they take calculated risks to land their punches and throw more than just jabs. Wlad takes no risks at all and does everything to prevent an actual fight taking place.

Wlad only landed 29 power punches against Haye that's not even 3 a round!

Against Ibragimov he landed only 40 power punches that's just over 3 per round. :patsch

Even in 2 of his most passive performances against Taylor, Hopkins landed 78 and 101 power punches in the 1st and second fight, that's about double what Wlad lands on average. There is no comparison. :deal

What kind of ******ed ass thread is this?

If Mayweather had 3 inches and 40lbs on a guy he was fighting, and he fought like Wlad did against Haye I would never watch a Mayweather fight again in my life.

This is being a sweet scientist

I can watch these video's all day. Exemplifies boxing at its best. A pure craft.

What Wlad Klitskco does on the other hand is just pure fear of being punched. He uses his height to jump out of the way of punches from guys half his size. He doesnt slip punches, he doesnt parry and counter, he merely jumps back across the ring, and uses his superior height to stay out of range.

Sorry I could care less about Wlads KO percentage. Most of them are him tiring out fat guys half his size with jabs and then after Manny Steward calls him a ***** repeatedly in the corner he goes out and finishes the guy off. Ala Eddie Chambers which was a farse in how long it took Wlad to KO him.

But Wlad in the end isnt that good. I think HAye with a little head movement and bad footwork was able to keep Wlad confused all night and limited him to a 20% connect rating and only 20 landed punches.

Mayweather and Hopkins are far far superior boxers.

    In boxing, there is divisions.

Bernard fights at 175, Pac fights at 147.

Guess where Wlad and Haye fight out.

They fight at heavyweight. You know what heavyweight is, 200lbs+

You know what that + means. It means for anyone over 200lbs.

If Vlad was the same size as Mayweather or vice versa then you would see why PBF gets more respect for his skills because PBFf would outclass him. Vlad uses his ' advantages ' efficiently, he is not blessed with great skills.

Its not Vlads fault that no one can match him physically and 95% of heavyweights dont even seem to prepare properly to fight him, knowing they are onto a hiding.

One reason only. He is white. Much more entertaining than Floyd or Popkins has ever been.

Comparing punch stats between a welterweight and a heavyweight?

Any heavyweight who could land as many power punches as Floyd without KOing an opponent would be truly pathetic wouldn't it? :patsch

Why don't you compare punch stats with Wlad/Vitaly against other heavyweights past or present? That would totally expose your arguement, wouldn't it?

Wlad has many other advantages over his opponents not just height, reach and size. Before Steward protected that chin he was a formidable offensive machine, he had everything but a good uppercut.

Wlad is more than capable of mixing it up and ending fights in a dramatic fashion. We have seen him do it in the past and because the fans know he is capable of it we give him criticism for not performing to the standard we know he is capable of.

But as another poster said in anther thread, Wlad seems incapable of switching fluidly from defence to offence, he's either all out attack or shuts up shop and is all defence.
