Klitschko-Haye was a much closer fight than the scorecards

Yea man, I had a different score too. I scored For David Haye by 10 points. Haye was clearly dominating from the first bell, I don't understand why Klitschko won this fight, oh Germany Germany :O. WAR Gaye!!! Ops sorry, WAR Haye!!

Haye made Wlad look quite slow and clumsy, even when obviously favouring one leg in all his movements. Wlad only made any contact with Haye when Haye allowed it, pretty much, and he jumped away like a frightened kitten when Haye tried to advance on him. What I took away from that fight is that Wlad is a half-decent boxer when he has all the physical advantages in terms of weight/height/injuries, but he's not a good fighter, and I really don't think he'd survive a rematch on equal terms with his belts. Call me a Hayetard or whatever the schoolyard name is today if you like, although I'm not a fan of Haye's ego and I don't think his boxing has justified it since moving up to heavyweight, but I think Wlad would be a fool to give him a rematch.

TS is just some loser who shits on the Klitschko's in every post, who knows if he is even serious?

I actually thought Wlad won every round but I can not complain about Haye being a round or two.

I just had a look at some of Blade's other threads:

I thought Glen Johnson won the fight

    (About the Froch fight)

Who else is tired of the Klitschkos?

"In addition, the Klits benefit from clever match making, Vitali won't fight slick guys like Chambers, Toney."

The Klits deserve criticism for never fighting James Toney

"Finally, the Klits have faced several types of oppoenets during their reign. They faced all types of opponents: european class boxers like Williams and Sosnowski, young like Johnson, and even older name guys like Briggs.Over time, it has become clear that they just don't want to fight Toney and therefore deserve to be criticised."

Haye and Povetkin did the right thing

James Toney ready to face Couture and then Haye in October

''It shows what a badass Toney is, no fear in JT, no bitching like the Klits."

Mayweather is scared to fight Mosley

Taylor was ahead on my scorecard and further comments

    (For the Abraham fight )

James Toney: "Vitali is a *****"

"There is no way the Polish fighter is a more attractive or credible opponent than Toney so the point is why does Vitali fight him then?Make up your won mind... "

Haye should NOT fight Wlad anytime soon

    (April, last year)

How do you see Haye-Vitali playing out

"Of course, I am rooting for Haye to retire the boring Russian robot... Haye is the better boxer... "

Wlad only beating Haye by one point, Mayweather is afraid of Mosley, Johnson beat Froch and Taylor was beating Abraham.:lol::lol: Good stuff, from a fellow Toney fan. Ridiculous, but entertaining.

    good research job

that having said I also think the fight was marginally closer than the official verdict suggested but at the end of the day thats a purely statistical matter

There were some close rounds no doubt. Even if you give all those close rounds to Haye, Wlad still wins it. Any doubts were erased after the stupid point deduction was... overruled by the stupid KD call.

Haye won one round. If you want to be extremely generous you could say two. And there's the 9-9 round, but he also had a KD against him. Yeah, definitely not even close to being an even match.

The first five rounds was as close as it got, if you wished you could make that 2-2-1 for Haye. I though had it 3-2 for Wlad. The round where Wlad got clocked I give to Wlad even though he finished good.
The last round...Haye landed one good punch...Wlad four or five and won that round for me....
If you absolutly have to give Haye that round then it's 8-4. I had it 9-3.

Yes, it was a closer fight than the scorecards suggest.

I had Wlad one point ahead going into 11th iirc, final score sth like 114-112.
I think Foreman had it a draw, but i guess esb would tell you he doesn't know anything about boxing too...:nut

I also thought it was a much better fight than everybody says, I was excited throughout the bout and thought Haye might have a chance to score the ko till the final bell.

The general reception in Germany was very good also, everybody said it was a very good fight and a brave performance by Haye.

I don't know what people expected to be that dissapointed tbh, it had to be clear that neither one of them had any interest in making this some kind of Foreman-Lyle slugfest.

Both couldve been a bit more aggressive and a ko wouldve been nice but hey, for a Klitschko-fight that was a real thriller the way it was.

I also think much higher of Haye now, he gave a very courageous effort imo and I was impressed at how relaxed he was before and during the fight.
I would love to see the Hayemaker back in the ring vs the likes of Arreola, Chambers etc.

That fight was the hardest test for Wlad in a long time, he took more damage than in any of his recent fights and he couldnt knock out Haye as promised.

I don't know why the reception is so bad on here. It was not the fight of the century, far from that, but it wasn't that bad of a stinker either.
