I honestly cannot remember the last time I got so wet, it was mental. You should be alright, cannot see it persistently raining to that level for a month. The fight being **** wasn't that big of a deal until afterwards, I had a strong it wouldn't be much of a spectical beforehand, I went mainly to say that I was there and to have a good weekend in a well renowned city but due to the reasons I gave it didn't happen. I would have loved to have seen the reiperbahn, that was just **** poor planning and organisation from me. I'm sure you will have a great time, just please don't tell me about it .
That **** was mental. I was on the other side of the ring to the entrances so wasn't aware what had happened until the next day. Security was non existent at pitch level and no-one sat in their seats. Everybody pushed forward as close as you could get. Had a good time with some Germans and a couple of Brits. The best insult the Germans around me could come up with was "LOSER. YOURE A LOSER". But we were sharing cigars, drinks etc. Good times:smoke
Had a great time overall, obviously apart from the result and that crazy rain on Saturday night. We arrived Friday, blistering sunshine for the weigh in, many German beers and some curry wurst in a classy sports bar watching the tennis. Reeperbhan at night was an experience. Fight night, honestly thought it was easy to get to stadium, 15mins on train from main station then constant shuttle buses. Our seats were in the lower tear, fantastic view, we were right next to the TV studios, got some awesome pics of the HBO team and got to shake RJJ's hand. Even got a vid of Jim Lampley dancing to the stadium music! I would agree with what others said about the majority of fans being tits, being Scottish it was quite difficult to hold your tongue with some of the songs.
Had an blinding weekend. Was in that bar too pal, some strange music but still a good crack. Getting away from the stadium was easy(although ran at the bell)...jumped on a bus that some mancs decided to smash up? anyway dropped of at the subway then Reperbahn within 10 minutes . Whatever that festival was certainly bought the best lookin girls of Hamburg out too play. Fight was jank yeah and the weather but wasnt letting that put a downer on it.
I've just got got back in the house and had a great time despite Hayes poor show. Hamburg is a great city, friendly people and that music festival was **** hot, I landed in about half 4 in the morning!:good
Did you bump into any boxers or anyone from here or anything? And did you get Flint his stick of Rock?
No mate, I didn't see anyone "famous" but I forgot to take my contact lenses so maybe that was the reason why.atsch I got Flint his rock but then I went to see my Nephew when I got home and he kicked off until I agreed to give it to him. Little ****er!!!
Yeah that pub was quality ended up on the stage bit dancing with a german hen party :hey Shame the drinks were relatively expensive but all in all decent weekend really.
