Haye hasn't ever thrown a high volume of punches. He's not going to completely change his style for one fight.

Trying to not get hit was essential for Haye to have any chance.

Bum rush into his punches and you'll get knocked out, pull a sweet science and your worst is almost as good as a win (Valuev). Haye is like a lower class Arthur Abraham, weaker chin and lower activity, but a bit better at trap making and faster.

no doubt the haymaker fell short but considering he's supposed 2 be just a blown up cruiserweight who was so out of his league i would have thought the 'greatest heavyweight of our era' would have been able to do better than plonder after him for the whole fight mainly missing throwing the same jabs and not really doing nothing... after all the talk of 50th knockout and that ridiculous you disgraced my family video imo all i saw at the end was a man with a busted nose who was made to look clumsy!!

What exciting fight was he ever in? Thompson? Mormeck? That one was pretty ugly to my taste particularly that rabbit punch in the end. Macca always gets sparked out, Haye did the job well. Barrett, Ruiz: sloppy fights as hell, lot of hit behind the head. Fraudley was as good as a fixed fight can be.

David can spark out any C-level dude impressively, credit where it's due. But Adamek would be just as alert as Wlad was and not leave a GIANT opening for Haye. No opening, no action for Haye.

I would tune in to see Vitali vs Haye for pure entertainment value cause Vitali is probably a bit less of a robot and would actually fight with emotion and try go for the KO!

 

Adamek can fight and can box too, he's very underrated and will put on a far better effort come September. And yes, I've seen several fights of him. There was nothing unpredictable about Haye in the biggest fight of his career. He's fast with heavy hands, that's what he is that resulting in some big KOs vs. lower level opposition leaving themselves wide open. Haye is pretty good at stopping them, but come someone with top skills and an alert defense, let it be slow as hell Valuev, Haye looks fairly limited.
