Klitschko-Haye was a much closer fight than the scorecards

Wlad threw 300 shots, and landed 130...........

That's less output, than Mosely managed against Mayweather

    He barely landed more.

Think it was 130 to 89.

    130 is pathetic. Really is.

Guys hit Mayweather more than that

I think Wlad won, by a few rounds, but I think claims that it was dominant, is pushing it a bit far.

I think every round, bar maybe 2, were very close. I understand why Wlad edged them - he was pushing more, but that's about it. He was edging rounds, not winning them clearly.

When it comes down to it, Wlad landed 130 shots to Hayes 89.

You know, you'll have to spend a long time, trying to find a fight where the fighters land less than 250 shots between them!

    To put it in context.

Shane Mosely, very nearly landed 130 on Mayweather. As in, he equalled Wlad's figure with Haye.

It was NOT 130 to 89.

Wladimir threw 42 per round, landed 135 total.
Haye threw 24 per round, landed 72 total.

So Wladimir landed almost double on the "slick, faster fighter", while Haye landed about half on the "slow, robotic fighter". :D

it was simple. Klitschko is big. Haye has to learn how to fight bigger guys. He really has only had a few fights to learn.

It was absolutly not a bad fight for Wlad. Sure, the KO would have been nice, but he showed that he can handle Hayes speed. And he could hit Haye twice as much as Haye did hit him. It is difficult to go after such a fast guy as Haye, who ran away after most of Wlads Jabs.
I also disagree that it is positive sign for Haye, that he tried to hit Wlad with some swinging; what it shows is, that he had absolutly now chance to hit Wlad with a straight, and was hoping for a lucky punch through the whole fight (a rather bad strategy). This worked rather nice against Wlad, because Wlad does not like to take risks (but he lost anyway). I like to see Haye against Vitaly; he is slower, but he will take more risk to capitalize on Hayes open swings.

Basically Haye did the same as most of the other fighters who faced Wlad. Try to not get hit, and hope for that one punch that should put Wlad down.

Is Wlad to blame for his strategy? No. He keeps winning, why should he change his style.

Booth: "wlad clearly won this and I have no issues with it at all"

Na, it wasn't close at all. You have throw punches to score. You need more than 1 or 2 right hands a round, then attack with your head, then dive for the floor so you can't get countered.

There were a couple of close rounds but the fight was pretty much a shut out. I agree with HBO's scorecard.
