I haven't seen any mention of how he got this injury, seems like a strange injury to get?

David Price beat him up in sparring and Haye's 15 stone ego landed on it :deal

Seriously though I haven't heard and I wondered the same thing.

Surely there are only two ways; either by kicking something or by dropping something on it. I cant think of any other way.

  4. I bet booth stepped on it with those stupid ****in moon boots he was wearing.

Given some of the cringe worthy embarrassing stuff he's come out with lately, it's perhaps best not to ask.:D

I dropped a 20kg weight on my toe the other day and just walked it off. Now I don't wanna suggest that I am harder than David Haye but..

It just goes to show how useless most of the media is that not one of them has asked this question.

could the 'toe' be the real reason haye stopped sparring early?

    Yes it could.

No he clearly stopped sparring 3 weeks ago.. the same time he broke his toe. Even if you find it a weak excuse, it's still pretty obvious that it was broken and did affect him.

And in a way the little toe was even more important than his big toe with that stance he has. When you're boxing at elite level, you have to literally be on your toes for 36 minutes. Haye's right foot was his back one and so the little toe had to take 15 stones of his weight plus the occasional clinch and bear hug from Wlad.

I have done many (non sexual) things with my feet. They have walked up mountains, they have run half marathons, they have cycled epic journeys, they have visited more countries than my age, they have kicked footballs, rugby balls, people's balls. I have dropped things on them. People heavier than me have stepped on them. Not once did I break anything.

Then I went to Disneyland with work to look at some hotels and fell down a set of stairs and broke my toe.

It can happen anywhere, trust me.

Also I should add that although I dropped the weight on my toe it did not break because I have ace bones.
