Why are fans of 'The Sweet Science' (Floyd/Bhop fans) slow to defend the Klitschkos?

He was fun to watch. Would be scary to see a 6'6 heavyweight to be that nimble right? So is it really a fair comparison to expect the Klits to be able to move like that?

I think Andre Ward is a lot less exciting to watch than Wlad. But if his reign as a champ comes close to that of the Klits, I'd definitely respect and just enjoy what he does to win. His win over Arthur Abraham was on par in entertainment value as the Klitschko-Haye fight. But did fans of the "sweet science" have anything negative to say? Nope. They defended Ward against the boxing fans who only enjoy slugfests. Not seeing that for Wlad, who fought a smart, efficient fight like Ward did. Kind of makes one really wonder.

Ward couldn't stop Abraham whenever he wanted to. Plus there was a lot of people shitting on Ward after his fight for being boring. I wasn't one of the of course.
I really didn't crap on Wlad for his fight with Haye. I was excited through the whole fight.
    Like I said before
Vitali vs Solis and Briggs = entertaining
    Wlad vs Haye= Entertaining

    Wlad vs Peter= :dead

No it wasn't. Ward was actually attacking Abraham. Ward had that fight won and continued to attack Abraham even though Abraham had the power to end the fight with one punch. That's the problem people have with Wlad. Even when he's fighting a guy who doesn't have one punch KO power, he's still overly cautious. You will never see Ward's corner yelling at him to stop bullshitting like Steward does with Wlad. At the end of the day, Wlad is an excellent fighter and a future HOFer. However, given his stature and power, people get frustrated by his lack of a killer instinct.

I would say the size advantage is what irks me on the klitschko's. I think they are both very smart good fighters

It didn't help that Wlad came with a game plan which was prepared to counter what Haye had talked about.

Haye was expected to go after Wlad. Instead Wlad was the aggressor.

    49 KOs in 59 pro fights (83.5 KO%)

Is anything under 90% just unacceptable?

Unlike, Abraham, David Haye showed great head movement and good overall defensive skills. Arthur Abraham was a stationary target. Wlad chased Haye around the entire fight. There's good reason for Wlad to be cautious as Haye proved in the 12th round when he rocked him and shook him up pretty bad. I'm sure had Wlad fought the more entertaining fight and got caught by Haye and KO'd, would you have given more drecit to Wlad for being more aggressive? No, you wouldn't. You'd say you're glad someone finally exposed this fraud. But Wlad didn't give you that satisfaction. So you must hate him for it by just calling him dull. And that is really the cold hard truth.

Funny, how you're the only one in this thread to mention that name (twice now). Yes, he's a great fighter, but talk about him in another thread. This is about the Klitschkos, and why pure boxers like him fail to gain the least bit of respect from fans like yourself, who defend other American boxers who fight a style that is smart and efficient like the Klitschkos.

Wlad chased haye? uh no he didnt moron. He was just as defensive in the 11th as he was in the 1st. The only time Wlad tried to open up in the fight was when he got caught by a punch.

Wlad actually pressed the attack after he got hit and it was literally the only exciting thing about the fight.

Listen you bum. You've been proven wrong. Mayweather and Hopkins are more active then Wlad during their fights. They throw more punches, when they have an advantage they try to knock the other guy out.

If Mayweather and Hopkins fought guys half their size with the skill level of eddie chambers, it wouldnt take them 12 rounds to knock the guy out.

Maywether and Hopkins are more aggressive fighting guys bigger then them then Wlad is fighting guys smaller then him. That says it all.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Ward was pressing the action and Abraham was always dangerous. And you compare that to Haye and Wlad flinching at eachother for 12 rounds?

Seriously how ****ed in the head are you *******?

This is a poor argument. If the audience is bored to death for 8 or 9 rounds and then one guy suddenly quits or gets knocked out, people aren't going to forget about the preceding rounds where they were falling asleep from boredom. Haye knocked Harrison out in 3 rounds. However, that was not an exciting fight.

I've stated numerous times that I didn't mind Wlad being cautious against Haye, because he actually has legit power and was pretty fresh throughout the fight.

This is a terrible argument. You're just simply making up what you assume I would think about a hypothetical situation. This is the problem with this entire thread. You have a predetermined opinion in regards to what other people are thinking. You totally disregard everything that people say that pokes holes in your flawed interpretation.

The truth is you clearly don't know what you're talking about. My criticism of Wlad is that he is overly cautious against guys who aren't even trying to win. The problem with the HW division is that it's champion is the biggest, hardest hitting guy in the division, yet he is cautious because of all the times he's been stopped/KD. His opponents won't engage him because they are afraid of his power, he refuses to engage his opponents because he doesn't trust his chin. Because of this, his fights are uneventful, one sided jab fests. Now if you're going to tell me that any of this is untrue, go right ahead. Otherwise, admit that you don't know what you're talking about.

Yep. Whenever I show anyone who doesnt watch boxing Mayweather they are always amazed at his timing and reflexes. A great endorsement for the sport.

If I showed them Wlad Klitscko they would probably never watch another boxing match again.

As I said and you keep ignoring, if Mayweather fought like Wlad, I would never watch another one of his fights again.

same thing happens with me. When I try to convert one of my friends I show them Gatti vs ward, Castillo vs Corrales and then I show them the best boxer in the world and show them Mayweather vs Gatti
