More or less great for boxing.

Don King does not have the WBA belt hostage, two champions who will inevitably go over to one (Wladimir).
Two true heavyweight champions of the world fighting actively, looking forward to the coming year or two.

Lets just hope the likes of Boytsov,Helenius,Povetkin,Pulev,Chisora and Fury turns up and goes for the titles. So long as we get ONE exciting, competetive fight, I think heavyweight boxing will grow again, and I do honestly believe Vitali is the man to provide us with just such action.

No more games. No more holding one of the belts hostage like King did with Ruiz or Booth did with Haye. Finally, order has been restored.

    I agree that it's great there's no Don King-washed-up-heavyweight-recyclement-belt anymore. :p

Still, the division is pretty close to being depleted right now - and that's coming from a loyal fan of the big boys division. Of those you name, Helenius is ready or close to being ready, and Povetkin has enough experience, although sadly, he's past his best due to inactivity and injuries. Chisora, Fury, Boytsov and Pulev are either not ready or not qualified. Adamek will soon be taken out. Arreola is good but another fight with either Klitschko will inevitably summon the tears again.

Adamek is good but only has a chance if Vitali aged overnight, and no chance against Wlad at all. Thompson is pretty good as well, but already thoroughly beaten in 2008, and it looked like one of those beatings that left mental scars too big to overcome during any future confrontation. Dito for Chagaev, who seemed genuinely disappointed with himself. Peter is 0-3 against the Klits, the latter two losses being brutal ones.

I hate to quote the "This is going exactly as I thought it would", but like Stewart, I don't see any HW on the horizon good enough to beat Wlad Klitschko, let alone be competitive.

Helenius was LOSING before the KO in his last fight. He was being OUTBOXED by the 260lb version of Sam Peter. No way is he ready.

At first I thought you sounded bitter.

Then I looked at your v-cash. Someone bet on Haye and ate up his hype, didn't they. :-(:)-(:)-(( Cheer up kiddo.

Well done, they did it. Now hopefully they can retire and in doing so breathe some much-needed life into the division.

Hopefully nobody will take the WBA regular title seriously.

I reconize the Ring, WBC, IBO, WBO, and IBF belts.

But what is the red, white and blue belt to far right that looks similar to the Ring Belt? Is that the WBA Super Champion belt? What a dumb concept Super Champion/ regular champion.

No the IBO is in Wlads right hand.

I guess it is the WBA Super title?
